Abstract
Problematika sistem di industri yang semakin kompleks mendorong dikembangkannya Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) dengan spesifikasi yang lebih mumpuni. PLC kini telah didukung dengan beberapa bahasa pemrograman yang relatif lebih mudah dipahami dibandingkan ladder diagram. Hal ini berdampak baik bagi seorang designer saat melakukan perancangan program pada sebuah project baru. Selain itu akan memudahkan designer dalam menjelaskan project tersebut kepada pihak-pihak berkepentingan yang masih awam dengan perangkat PLC. Namun kemudahan ini tidak dapat terwujud bagi pelaku industri yang masih belum mampu mengupgrade perangkat PLC di perusahaanya. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan metode yang mampu untuk mengatasi keterbatasan PLC tersebut Pada penelitian ini penulis akan memodelkan sistem yang ada pada Factory Automatic Trainer sebagai representasi sistem yang ada di industri menggunakan State Diagram. Setelah itu State Diagram yang sudah diperoleh akan dikonversi menjadi ladder diagram. Konstruksi Ladder diagram terdiri atas 49 rung, menggunakan sebanyak 23 relay dan 6 timer. I/O yang dipergunakan sebanyak 22 input dan 20 output. Sementara rata-rata waktu proses pada benda kerja 1 yaitu 25.998 s sedangkan pada benda kerja 2 yaitu 23.668 s

The increasingly complex problem of system in industry encourages the development of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with more specification. PLC has now been supported with several programming languages that are relatively easier to understand than ladder diagrams. This is good for a designer when designing a program on a new project. In addition it will facilitate the designer in explaining the project to the people who still lay with PLC devices. But this ease can’t be realized for industry players who still haven’t been able to upgrade their PLC. Therefore the required method that is able to overcome the limitations of the PLC In this study the authors will model the existing system in Factory Automatic Trainer as a representation of existing systems in the industry using State Diagram. After that the obtained State Diagram will be converted into ladder diagram.The Construction Ladder diagram consists of 49 rung, using 23 relay and 6 timers. I / O used 22 inputs and 20 outputs. While the average time on the workpiece 1 is 25.998 s while the workpiece 2 is 23.668 s
