Abstract

Setelah dilakukan optimasi penempatan kapasitor shunt profil tegangan sistem kelistrikan kalimantan mengalami kenaikan hingga batas minimum toleransi dan rugi-rugi daya berkurang sebesar 6.75% hingga menjadi 104.51 MW.=============== Electrical energy has an important role in running various community activities. Therefore, the distribution of quality and continuous electrical energy is needed. In the distribution of electrical energy from sources of power to consumers who are located far enough, there is always a power loss that causes the distribution of electrical energy becomes less optimal. Kalimantan is one of the largest islands in Indonesia with growing electrical loads. Kalimantan electricity system is planned to be built 500 kV backbone interconnection that connecting 5 provinces. In 2028 it is planned that the growth of electrical load will reach 3973.37 MW with a total power generated is 4077.81 MW. From the results of power flow analysis, the power loss is 112.08 MW. Therefore, in this research, an optimization analysis of shunt capacitor placement to reduce power losses in Kalimantan electricity system The capacitor placement method use Reactive Contribution Factor and will be simulated using DigSILENT PowerFactory software. After optimizing the placement of the shunt capacitor, the voltage profile of the Kalimantan electrical system has increased to a minimum tolerance level and the power losses are reduced by 6.75% to 104.51 MW.
