Abstract

Kapal katamaran sebagai alternatif baru dalam memberikan solusi yang efisien dalam banyak bidang dengan berbagai kelebihan dalam aspek hidrodinamika kapal secara teknis. Variasi konfigurasi lambung katamaran asimetris flat side inside dan lambung kapal katamaran simetris memberikan dampak yang berbeda dengan adanya pengaruh sideforce yang ada pada kapal katamaran. Sideforce yang mengenai setiap demihull dapat bersifat menghambat, mengingat adanya induced drag dari kedua demihull yang bersifat menghambat laju kapal. Kapal katamaran yang memiliki perngaruh dari perbandingan jarak melintang kapal dengan panjang kapal (S/L) sehingga dilakukan penelitian untuk S/L = 0.2, S/L = 0.3 dan S/L = 0.4. Selain hubungan pengaruh sideforce dengan variasi jenis lambung kapal. Sideforce juga mampu memberikan pengaruh dalam maneuvering kapal. Dalam proses maneuvering, kapal mengalami kondisi dimana kapal berbelok sehingga penelitian disimulasikan dalam variasi sudut kemiringan, yaitu sudut kemiringan 2^o, 4^o, 6^o, 8^o, 10^o, 12^o, 14^o terhadap sumbu Z. Dalam simulasi yang dilakukan dengan metode Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) diperoleh nilai sideforce yang selanjutnya diubah menjadi nilai sideforce coefficient (CSF). Selain diperoleh nilai dari sideforce coefficient (CSF) juga diperoleh nilai CT. Dimana nilai CSF diperoleh berdasarkan besarnya nilai force pada sumbu y, atau sumbu yang sejajar dengan arah melintang kapal. Sedangkan nilai CT diperoleh berdasarkan nilai besarnya force berdasarkan sumbu x, atau sumbu yang sejajar dengan arah memanjang kapal. Perbedaan konfigurasi lambung pada kapal katamaran dapat menyebabkan nilai sideforce dan nilai CSF yang berbeda. Kapal katamaran asimetris flat side inside memiliki nilai sideforce yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan kapal katamaran simetris. Pada kapal katamaran simetris dan asimetris flat side inside pada sudut kemiringan 2^o, 4^o, 6^o nilai CSF lebih kecil daripada nilai CT. Pada sudut kemiringan 8^o,10^o, 12^o, 14^o CSF memiliki nilai yang lebih besar daripada nilai CT. ============ Camataran ship as a new alternative in providing an efficient solution in many fields with various advantages in the aspect of the ship hydrodynamic. The variations in the configuration of flat side inside- asymmetrical and the symmetrical catamaran hull have a different impacts from the catamaran ship. The sideforce generated by each demihull act in opposition whereas the induce drag of both demihull act to resist the forward motion of the ship ffects of the sideforce on the catamaran ship. The catamaran ship has an effect from the ratio of the transverse distance with the length of the vessel (S/L) so that the research is conducted for S / L = 0.2, S / L = 0.3 and S / L = 0.4. Aside from the relation of the influence of sideforce with variations of ship hull type. Sideforce is also capable of giving the influence in ship maneuvering. In the process of maneuvering, the ship experiences a condition in which the ship turns so that the research is simulated in variations of the inclination angle, 2^o, 4^o, 6^o, 8^o, 10^o, 12^o, 14^o to the Z axis. In the simulation conducted with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) method, the sideforce value is obtained and then converted to the value of sideforce ciefficient (CSF). In addition to the value obtained from sideforce coefficient (CSF) also obtained the value of CT. Where the value of CSF is obtained based on the magnitude of the force value on the y axis, or the axis parallel to the transverse direction of the ship. While the CT value is obtained based on the value of the force based on the x axis, or the axis is parallel to the direction of the ship lengthening. Differences in hull configuration on catamarans have sideforce and different CSF values. Flat side-inside-Asymmetrical catamaran has a larger sideforce value compared to a symmetrical catamaran ship. On a symmetrical and flat side inside asymmetric catamaran at a inclination angle of 2^o, 4^o, 6^o ,the CSF value is smaller than the CT value. At an angle of ,10^o, 12^o, 14^o CSF has a value greater than the value of CT.
