Abstract

Surabaya as the second big city in Indonesia has a seious problem thai is flooded every year due to the garbage and weed aquatic, especially in the rivers. The purpose of this Final Project is to do technical analysis about the ship design that is suitable for the characteristic of Kalimas River. It chose catamaran hull with conveyor in the bow, the stern, and cargo hold and also completed with the cutter in the bow because of catamaran has spacious deck so it can carry more load. In addition, this skimmer boat also designed with paddle wheel system mover in order to manuvering in the shallow water without afraid of blocked by garbages or weed aquatic so it is suitable for the condition of Kalimas River Surabaya. Ship design process is done by determine the payload to get first main size of the ship and the optmized process is done with 256 method. Technical calculation is using rules of catamaran with L>50m. The result of technical calculation is main size Aquatic Weed and Trash Skimmer Boat Lwl = 9,2 m, B = 6 m, Boa = 8 m, B1 = 1.3 m, T = 0.7m, H =1,7 m, Cb = 0,5 and Vs = 4 knots. Furthemore, from the result of main size then created Lines Plan, General Arrangement, 3D Model and also analyze the building cost.
