Abstract

===============================================================================================================================
Distribution line in oil and gas companies are mostly located between cities, it is not uncommon for these pipes are located in residential area. It certainly causes a wide impact when an accident occurs. The accident can be an explosion from big amount that gas produced. One of the biggest content in distribution line is hydrocarbon. Pollution from hydrocarbon is dangerous in liquid and gas form. Analysis of hydrocarbon dispersion in emergency hydrocarbon release situation is important. Emergency hydrocarbon release is a condition that the big amount of gas is produced that have big risk to endager people. This research use ALOHA 5.4.7 program to modelling the dispersion of gas that produced in an accident. Methan gas is choosen because it is the biggest content of natural gas. ALOHA program use the modification of Gauss formula that fits to use in this research. After that the model result of ALOHA will be analyzed based on quality standard from regulation. The result of this research is risk management that applicable to do when accident happen. Risk management is created based on dispersion model when accident happen, so it can be deterrmined the area that impact from hydrcarbon cause. The volume of emergency hydrocarbon release is 249,508 m3. The most far radius of dispersion that can occur is about 0,29 km for gas plant and 6,6 km fot pipeline. Risk management and standard opreational procedures can be seen in appendix.
