Abstract

Application Finding - Tutor is an Android app that helps people to find tutor services needed for their students based on desired criteria. The using of this application authentication system is perceived to have a low level of reliability and validity. Fraud in the form of data forgery can happen when students and tutor service providers do not actually meet at the destination location.
This study aims to prevent the occurrence of fraud with Dynamic QR Codes authentication method based on circle zone radius with Great Circle Distance. QR Codes for authentication will only appear on tutor service provider according to circle zone radius and QR Codes that are not scanned by student will change dynamically within 1 minute based on transaction and timestamp data. Great Circle Distance will calculate the shortest distance between the 2 points of student and tutor service provider within the circle zone radius.
Based on the results of testing with blackbox method, the accuracy of Great Circle Distance and generate QR Codes, it can be concluded that the built features are functioning properly and the usefulness of the feature is achieved.
