Abstract
Penggunaan pendekatan persepsi pada batas ruang RPH merupakan konsep yang digunakan untuk memisahkan antara dua jenis ruang di dalam bangunan utama RPH. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan ini maka optimasi lahan bisa dilakukan dengan penggabungan bangunan utama dari kedua RPH sehingga dapat meminimalkan kebutuhan lahan untuk bangunan utama. Pemisah antara kedua ruang yang dibuat oleh batas menjadi kunci utama dalam desain yang memungkinkan konsep lain dapat diterapkan menjadi sebuah desain dalam kompleks RPH.
Dalam penerapannya, batas yang memisahkan kedua ruang ini menghadapi permasalahan berupa aturan yang sudah ditetapkan dalam persyaratan rumah potong hewan ruminansia dan unit penanganan daging (meat cutting plant), dari Peraturan Menteri Pertanian Nomor : 13/PERMENTAN/OT.140/1/2010 yang mensyaratkan terpisahnya secara fisik RPH babi dari lokasi kompleks RPH hewan lain atau dibatasi dengan pagar tembok dengan tinggi minimal 3 (tiga) meter untuk mencegah lalu lintas orang, alat dan produk antar rumah potong. Berdasarkan peraturan ini maka dibutuhkan desain batas yang dapat memisahkan kedua ruang dalam satu bangunan utama dengan pertimbangan aturan tersebut.
Cara yang digunakan untuk membuat desain batas seperti yang diharapkan adalah dengan membuat batas yang berwujud fisik sebagai pemisah, namun dengan kedua ruang yang dibatasi ini tidak dipersepsikan sebagai dua bagian bangunan yang berbeda dalam satu bangunan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam redesain RPH ini adalah revealing architectural design oleh Philip D. Plowright yang berdasar pada pendekatan ilmu arsitektur ataupun diluar itu dengan kerangka berpikir yang jelas. Jenis kerangka berpikir yang diaplikasikan pada redesain RPH adalah concept-based framework yang menggunakan ide utama sebagai pusat dari semua konsep yang dibuat pada desain. Dengan pendekatan persepsi batas sebagai kunci konsep, maka ide utama dan konsep lain dapat diaplikasikan dalam desain. Konsep-konsep ini terdiri dari tiga konsep utama, yaitu penambahan fasilitas, perubahan tata letak, dan aplikasi dari batas dengan persepsi yang dibuatnya.
============================================================ The use of the perception approach at the boundaries of the slaughterhouse space is a concept used to separate the two types of space within the main building of the slaughterhouse. By using this approach, land optimization can be done by combining the main building of the two type of slaughterhouses so that with this combine it can minimize the need for land for the main building. The separation between the two spaces created by the boundary is the main key in the design that allows other concepts to be applied in the design of slaughterhouse.
In its application, the boundary separating these two spaces faces problems in the form of rules that have been stipulated in the requirements of ruminant slaughterhouses and meat cutting plants, from the Minister of Agriculture Regulation Number: 13/PERMENTAN/OT.140/1/2010 which requires the physical separation of pig slaughterhouse from other animal slaughterhouses locations or separated by a wall fence with a minimum height of 3 (three) meters to prevent traffic of people, equipment and products between slaughterhouses. With this regulation, there is a needed of boundary design to separate the two spaces in main building with consideration of the rule mentioned.
The way used to design the boundary as required is to create a physical boundary as a separator, but with these two separated spaces not perceived as two distinct parts of the building. The method used in this slaughterhouse redesign is revealing architectural design by Philip D. Plowright based on the approach from the field of architectural, as well as other fields with a clear framework of thinking. The type of framework that is applied to slaughterhouse redesign is a concept-based framework that uses the main idea as the center of all concepts made in design, so that all concepts must be in line with this main idea.
By using the perception and boundary approach as key concepts, the main ideas and other concepts can be applied in design. These concepts consist of three main concepts, addition of facilities, layout changes, and application of boundary with the perception it makes.
