Abstract
Kebutuhan air minum semakin meningkat seiring dengan meningkatnya jumlah penduduk di Indonesia. Setiap penyeleng-gara air minum wajib menjamin air minum yang diproduksinya aman bagi kesehatan. CV. Karunia Jaya Bondowoso merupakan salah satu perusahaan penghasil Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas produk AMDK dari CV. Karunia Jaya. Melalui pengen-dalian kualitas produk terhadap variabel pH dan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) menggunakan diagram kendali Individual dan Moving Range, diketahui bahwa variabilitas dan rata-rata proses belum terkendali dengan beberapa penyebab salah satunya adalah kondisi bahan baku. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dan evaluasi menggunakan diagram kendali Improved Generalized Variance dan T2Hotelling, diketahui bahwa variabilitas dan rata proses telah terkendali secara statistik. Kapabilitas proses secara multivariat menunjukkan bahwa proses belum kapabel karena akurasi produk rendah sehingga produk yang dihasilkan melenceng dari target perusahaan. Meskipun begitu, produk ini memenuhi persyaratan dari Badan Standardisasi Nasional sehingga aman untuk dikonsumsi.

Drinking water demands are increasing along with the population growth in Indonesia. Each drinking water conservator must ensure that the drinking water it produces is safe for health. CV. Karunia Jaya Bondowoso is one of the companies producing Bottled Drinking Water (BDW). The purpose of this study was to improve the quality of BDW products from CV. Karunia Jaya. By means of product quality control on the pH and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) variables using Individual and Moving Range control chart, it was discovered that the variability and average of the process had not been controlled by several causes, one of which was the raw material condition. After improvement and evaluation using Improved Generalized Variance and T2 Hotelling control chart, it is later discovered that the variability and the average of the process have been statistically controlled. Multivariate process capability indicates that the process is not capable due to low product accuracy resulting in a deviation of the final product from the company's target. Still, this product satisfies the requirements of the National Standardization Agency for safe consumption.
