Abstract

PT. Adiprima Suraprinta merupakan anak perusahaan dari Jawa Pos Group yang bergerak dibidang produksi kertas. Salah satu produk kertas yang paling banyak diproduksi yaitu jenis kertas koran 45 gsm. Pada penelitian ini, analisis pengendalian kualitas dilakukan menggunakan data pada bulan Januari - Maret 2017. Karena kedua karakteristik kualitas kertas koran yaitu opacity dan brightness saling berhubungan, maka pada penelitian ini digunakan diagram kendali Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Variance (MEWMV) dengan pengamatan individual untuk mendeteksi perubahan variabilitas proses. Sementara itu, pengendalian rata-rata proses produksi dilakukan dengan menggunakan diagram kendali Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA). Hasil yang didapatkan yaitu variabilitas proses produksi pada fase I maupun fase II terkendali secara statistik dengan pembobot optimum ω=0.2 dan λ=0.4, namun rata-rata proses pada fase I maupun fase II belum terkendali secara statistik dengan pembobot optimum λ=0.9. Kapabilitas proses dihitung menggunakan indeks MPpk menunjukkan proses tidak kapabel. Nilai indeks MPpk pada fase I sebesar 0.875 dan pada fase II sebesar 0.92, nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa presisi dan akurasi proses tidak baik.

PT. Adiprima Suraprinta is a Jawa Pos Group’s company for paper production. One of the main paper product produced is newsprint paper 45 gsm. In this research, the analysis of quality control is performed based on data during the period of January – March 2017. Since two quality characteristics i.e. brightness and opacity are significantly correlated, the analysis is undertaken using Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Variance (MEWMV) control charts with individual observations to detect changes in process variability. Meanwhile, the monitoring of mean production process using Multivariate Exponentially Weighted Moving Average (MEWMA) control chart. The result shows that the variability of production process in phase I and II is statistically controlled with the optimum weight ω = 0.2 and λ = 0.4. However, the mean process in phase I and phase II is not statistically controlled with optimum weight λ = 0.9. The process capability using MPpk index showing the process is not capable. MPpk value in phase I is 0.875 and in phase II is 0.92, the value indicates that the precision and accuracy of the process is not good.
