Abstract

Komunikasi kooperatif bertujuan untuk mengurangi gangguan multipath fading. Terdapat dua protokol teknik relay pada sistem komunikasi kooperatif, yaitu amplify and forward (AF) dan decode and forward (DF). Hybrid relay protocol (HRP) merupakan kombinasi dari protokol AF dan DF dimana pada relay akan memilih salah satu protokol dengan menggunakan hybrid relay selection (HRS). Pemilihan node relay berdasarkan nilai BER yang terkecil pada node relay. Pada penelitian ini akan diimplementasikan kinerja dari HRS sistem komunikasi kooperatif pada modul WARP (Wireless Open-Access Research Platform). Parameter yang diambil sebagai acuan performansi dalam pemilihan relay adalah bit error rate (BER). Setelah dilakukan pengukuran, pemilihan node relay tergantung dari jarak antara node relay dan node source. Saat Relay 2 (DF) berada didekat node source saat jarak 5 meter, node relay 2 (DF) sudah mendapatkan nilai BER senilai 0 ketika daya -7 dBm, sedangkan untuk relay 1 (AF), BER pada saat daya yang dipancarkan sama sebesar -7 dBm, nilai BER adalah 0.0176.

Cooperative communication aims to reduce multipath fading interference. There are two protocol relay techniques on cooperative communication system, ie amplify and forward (AF) and decode and forward (DF). Hybrid relay protocol (HRP) is a combination of AF and DF protocols where the relay will select one protocol using hybrid relay selection (HRS). Selection of relay nodes based on the smallest BER value on relay nodes. In this research will be implemented performance of HRS cooperative communication system in WARP module (Wireless Open-Access Research Platform). The parameter taken as performance reference in relay selection is bit error rate (BER). After measurement, the selection of relay nodes depends on the distance between relay nodes and source nodes. When Relay 2 (DF) is near the source node at a distance of 5 meters, the relay 2 (DF) node has received a BER value of 0 when power is -7 dBm, while for relay 1 (AF) BER when the emitted power is equal to - 7 dBm, the value of BER is 0.0176.
