Abstract

Intitut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) berinovasi dalam budidaya dan pemeliharaan ikan tuna dengan merancang sebuah offshore aquaculture yang diberi nama OCEAN FARMITS bertujuan untuk mecegah overfishing dan ilegal fishing. Offshore aquaculture adalah sebuah keramba jaring apung di tengah laut (laut dalam). Dalam pemberian pakan untuk offshore aquaculture masih menggunakan cara konvensional, pakan dibawa dari pesisir menuju lokasi offshore aquaculture menggunakan speedboat dan pakan disebar menggunakan tangan kedalam keramba jaring apung. Cara ini tidaklah efektif, mengingat lokasi offshore aquaculture yang jauh karena berada di laut lepas. Alat pakan otomatis untuk offshore aquaculture yang sudah ada di Indonesia belum ada maka dari itu perancangan alat pakan otomatis untuk offshore aquaculture bertujuan untuk memudahkan serta inovasi dalam pemberian pakan sehingga pemberian pakan dapat dilakukan secara efektif dibanding dengan cara konvensional. Perancangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan software AutoCAD, Maxsurf, dan Autodesk Inventor. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan, alat pakan otomatis untuk offshore aquaculture diperlukan sebuah barge yang ditarik oleh speedboat maupun kapal kecil menuju lokasi offshore aquaculture dua kali sehari pemberian pakan pagi dan sore hari. Alat pakan otomatis didesain memiliki tempat pakan yang ideal untuk satu hari yakni memiliki kapasitas 10% dari total biomassa demi tercapainya berat jual ikan tuna (25kg) dalam waktu dua tahun. Alat pakan otomatis juga memiliki peralatan seperti pompa dan generator. Menggunakan pompa merk DESMI seri ESL 50-180 berkapasitas 10 m3/s dengan head sebesar 1,6 m dengan daya motor 0,55 kW dan generator 3 phase merk Fischer Panda tipe 4500 SCB PMS (HP3) dengan daya 3,8 kW. Air laut dipompa untuk mendorong pakan ikan tuna dalam alat pakan otomatis menuju offshore aquaculture OCEAN FARMITS.==============================================================================================
Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology is innovating to cultivate and fattening tuna with offshore aquaculture called OCEAN FARMITS. Offshore aquaculture built to prevent overfishing and ilegal fishing. Offshore aquaculture is a deepsea net. Offshore aquaculture feeding system still using the conventional ones, the feed carried from shore to the location with speedboat and the feed spread with hand to the offshore aquaculture. This method is not effective because the location of offshore aquaculture in the middle of sea. Automatic feeding system for offshore aquaculture that exist in Indonesia is not yet designed therefore designing automatic feeding system for offshore aquaculture is to ease the process feeding tuna fish in offshore aquaculture also to make it more effective than conventional way. Automatic feeding system designed use the software such as AutoCAD, Maxsurf, and Autodesk Inventor. From the result of design, automatic feeding system for offshore aquaculture need a barge, the barge towed by speedboat or small boat from shore to the location of offshore aquaculture OCEAN FARMITS twice a day to feed tuna in the morning and afternoon. Automatic feeding system designed can carries ideal feed for tuna daily is 10% from biomass total in offshore aquaculture so tuna can grow up to 25 kg in two years. Automatic feeding system equipped with pump and generator. The pump used in automatic feeding system is DESMI PUMP ESL 50-180 series with 10 m3/s capacity, 1,6 m head, and 0,5 kW motor power. Generator used in automatic feeding system is Fischer Panda 4500 SCB PMS (HP3) series with 3,8 kW power. Seawater pumped by pump to thrust tuna feed inside the pipe so the feed can be transferred from automatic feeding system to offshore aquaculture OCEAN FARMITS.
