Abstract
Meningkatnya persaingan produk-produk industri seperti tas, koper, dompet,
jaket, sepatu dan sandal di era globalisasi telah menjadi ancaman bagi produk lokal di
Indonesia. Terutama produk industri yang dibuat oleh pengrajin di Indonesia. Salah
satunya yaitu pengrajin produk industri dengan bahan dasar kulit yang terdapat di
daerah Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. Di daerah ini dikenal showroom produkproduk
dari bahan kulit asli maupun sintetis yang bernama Koperasi Intako (Industri
Tas dan Koper). Di tempat ini pengrajin produk-produk industri kecil mulai
bergabung untuk menjual produk buatannya. Perkembangan persaingan dari produk
lain menyebabkan produk-produk pengrajin di daerah ini semakin tersaingi. Salah
satu faktor produk-produk ini menjadi tersaingi adalah infrastruktur tempat showroom
Koperasi Intako yang sudah lama dan membutuhkan pembaharuan pada Desain
Interiornya.
Untuk membuat Koperasi Intako dapat kembali bersaing menjadi pusat produk
kerajinan kulit di Jawa Timur maupun di Indonesia, maka diperlukannya
pembaharuan pada Desain Interior showroom Koperasi Intako. Dengan konsep yang
mengikuti perkembangan zaman dan sesuai dengan visi Koperasi Intako.
Konsep yang diusung ialah Modern Industrial. Modern berarti mengikuti
perkembangan zaman saat ini, dan Industrial sebagai cirikhas kesatuan dari bahan
utama kulit di Koperasi Intako. Sehingga produk-produk kerajinan kulit di Koperasi
Intako dapat menjadi pusat produk kerajinan kulit yang berakar dari nilai tradisi
secara professional. Dengan memiliki visi untuk mewujudkan Koperasi Intako
sebagai perusahaan yang berwawasan internasional, professional dan kompetitif.

The increasing competition of industrial products such as bags, suitcases,
wallets, jackets, shoes and sandals in the era of globalization has become a threat to
local products in Indonesia. Especially industrial products made by artisans in
Indonesia. One of them is the products with the basic ingredients of leather which is
found in Tanggulangin, Sidoarjo, East Java. In this area known as showroom
containing products of genuine and synthetic leather named Koperasi Intako
(Industrial Bag and Luggage). In this place small industry craftsmen began to join to
sell homemade products. The development of competition from other products causes
products made by craftsmen in this area more unrivaled. One of the factors of these
products being rivaled is the infrastructure where the showroom Koperasi Intako is
old and needs renewal in its Interior Design.
To make Koperasi Intako able to compete again become leather handicraft
product center in East Java and Indonesia, hence the need of renewal the Interior
Design of showroom Koperasi Intako. With a concept that follows the times and in
accordance with Koperasi Intako's vision.
The concept that is carried is Modern Industrial. Modern means to follow the
development of the current era, and Industrial as a hallmark of the unity of the main
leather material in Koperasi Intako. So that the leather craft products in Koperasi
Intako can be a center of leather products that are rooted in traditional values,
professionally. With a vision to realize Koperasi Intako as an international,
professional and competitive company.
