Abstract

Ocean Farm ITS, provides a design for fattening tuna fish using offshore aquaculture technology to keep the availability and population of tuna in Indonesia. The process of fattening for tuna fish enlargement, needed support system in fattening process is, such as baby tuna fish catcher, harvesting technique, and tools used for harvesting. This design is intended to find out the design of tuna fishing gear, harvesting technique of tuna fish, and handling of post-harvest tuna fish. The result of baby tuna design is focused on portable storage tanks to store the catch of baby tuna. The baby tuna capture model uses a speedboat and is equipped with a portable storage tub on the right and left ships. The size of the bolt to bind the storage tub with speedboat is : diameter 20 mm, Length 500 mm. The size of the binder plate is: length 600 mm, width 440 mm, height 900mm, thickness 10 mm. bolt material and binder plate using a steel alloy having a yield strength of 250 MPa, the result of stress analysis concludes that the bolt and binder plate is resistant to a maximum pressure of 20,56 MPa. Then for the harvest tool used is a net purse seine with a length of 28 m, height 14.6 m. The method used to harvest using the second method is the installation of purse seine net with the help of divers. Post-harvest, tuna is stored with Chilled Sea Water (CSW) and Sea Water Refrigration (ALREF).
