Abstract
DKRTH merupakan sebuah Kantor Dinas Kebersihan dan Ruang Terbuka Hijau milik pemerintah Surabaya yang berlokasi di Jl Raya Menur No.31, Manyar Sabrangan, Mulyorejo, Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Kantor yang terdiri dari 2 lantai ini bertanggung jawab sepenuhnya tentang kebersihan dan tata kelola pertamanan yang ada di Surabaya. Pekerjaan yang sudah dilakukan oleh DKRTH sangat berpengaruh terhadap kota Surabaya. Dengan prestasi yang telah dicapai tersebut menuntut kantor DKRTH Surabaya sering menerima kunjungan dari berbagai instansi guna studi banding.
Karena hal tersebut desain kantor DKRTH harus lebih diperhatikan, dengan tujuan agar pengunjung dapat langsung menerima informasi mengenai ranah kerja dan profil dari DKRTH. Selain itu diharapkan waktu berkunjung saat di kantor DKRTH lebih efisien. Karena kantor DKRTH merupakan kantor pemerintahan dengan mobilitas yang tinggi, maka dibutuhkan juga area kerja (workspace) yang nyaman dengan dilengkapi area penyimpanan dokumen (storage) yang lebih banyak agar terlihat rapi dan tertata. Hal tersebut dapat diterapkan melalui desain interior pada ruangannya. Sebelum menentukan konsep desain yang sesuai, dilakukan beberapa riset melalui beberapa metode yaitu survey lokasi, wawancara dengan kepala dinas dan pegawai, serta pengumpulan literatur.
Dari metode tersebut, hasil yang diperoleh berupa penerapan konsep EGD (Enviroment Graphic Design) dapat mendukung penyelesaian permasalahan. Karena dapat menghadirkan identitas dan informasi yang efektif melalui tampilan grafis yang efisien. Untuk mendukung prinsip EGD tersebut maka dipilihlah konsep Modern Naturalis dengan menggabungkan beberapa icon dari kota Surabaya. Harapannya, desain interior kantor DKRTH Surabaya dengan menerapkan konsep EGD dapat menyampaikan informasi serta profil yang sesuai dan efektif.

DKRTH is an Office of Department of Health and Green Open Space owned by the Government of Surabaya located at Jl. Raya Menur No. 31, Manyar Sabrangan, Mulyorejo, Surabaya, East Java. The two-storied office is fully responsible for the cleanliness and governance of parks existing in Surabaya. The work done by DKRTH office of Surabaya to get visited frequently by various institutions for comparative study.
Because of that, the design of DKRTH office must be given more attention so as the visitors can directly get information regarding work dominan and profile of DKRTH. Besides that, it is expected that the time of visit at DKRTH office to be more efficient. Because DKRTH office is a government office with high mobility, it also requires comfortable workspace equipped with more document storages to look neat and organized. It can be implemented by interior design in the rooms. Before determining appropriate design concept, some research were done using some methods, namely location survey, interview with head of department and employees, and collection of literature.
From the methods, the obtained result was in from of EGD (Environment Graphic Design) concept that could support problem solving because it could present identity and effective information through efficient graphic display. To support the principles of EGD, modern naturalist concept was selected by combining some icons of Surabaya City. It was expected that the interior design of DKRTH office of Surabaya by implementing EGD concept could deliver appropriate and effective information and profile.
