Abstract
Penyakit kusta atau Morbus hansen merupakan penyakit infeksi menular akibat bakteri tahan asam. Bakteri tersebut adalah Mycobacterium leprae yang diduga menyebar melalui droplet. WHO mengelompokkan kusta ke dalam 2 tipe berdasarkan banyaknya bercak kusta, jumlah kerusakan saraf tepi, dan keberadaan basil tahan asam, yaitu pausibasiler (PB) dan multibasiler (MB). Provinsi Jawa Timur merupakan salah satu provinsi yang belum mencapai eliminasi. Berdasarkan Profil Kesehatan Indonesia (2016) Jawa Timur memiliki angka cacat tingkat 2 kusta yang tinggi yaitu 11,39 per 1000.000 penduduk. Jika dibandingkan dengan provinsi lainnya, Jawa Timur berada diurutan ke 4 tertinggi di Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, untuk meminimalisir jumlah penderita kusta di Jawa Timur, perlu diketahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi jumlah penderita kusta melalui BNBR dan GWBNBR. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara umum pengaruh kelima variabel prediktor terhadap jumlah penderita kusta MB lebih besar dibandingkan kusta PB di Jawa Timur tahun 2016

Leprosy or Morbus hansen disease is contagious infection caused by acid resistant bacteria. The bacteria are Mycobacterium leprae which is thought to be spread through droplets. WHO classifies leprosy into 2 types based on the number of leprosy, number of peripheral nerve damage, and the presence of acid-resistant bacilli, pausibasiler (PB) and multibacillary (MB). East Java Province is one of the provinces that has not achieved elimination. Based on Indonesia Health Profile (2016) East Java has a disability rate of 2 leprosy rate that is 11.39 per 1000.000 population. When compared with other provinces, East Java is ranked 4th highest in Indonesia. Therefore, to minimize the number of leprosy patients in East Java, it is necessary to know what factors affect the number of leprosy patients through BNBR and GWBNBR. The result of the analysis shows that in general the influence of the five predictor variables on the number of MB lepers is greater than the leprosy of PB in East Java in 2016.
