Abstract

Desain proses kapal ferry sangat diperhatikan seakeeping kapal, terutama yang berpengaruh terhadap keselamatan dan kenyamanan penumpang. Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui besarnya percepatan vertikal dan motion sickness incidence di beberapa titik di kapal. Pengecekan nilai-nilai percepatan vertikal dan motion sickness incidence dilakukan pada tiga daerah pelayaran yaitu Adaut (Hs= 2,28 m), Saumlaki (Hs= 2,23 m) dan Letwurung (Hs= 2,19 m). Selain daerah pelayaran, variasi sudut hadap gelombang juga digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu 900, 1350 dan 1800. Analisis Response Amplitude Operator (RAO) dilakukan menggunakan software Ansys Aqwa untuk menemukan respon gerakan kapal dalam kondisi heave dan pitch. Setelah didapatkan respon gerakan kapal untuk gerakan heave dan pitch, selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan relative motion guna menentukan besarnya percepatan vertikal dan motion sickness incidence. Perairan Adaut merupakan perairan yang memiliki gelombang tertinggi dari ketiga gelombang yaitu dengan tinggi signifikan 2,28 meter. Dari hasil analisis di perairan Adaut didapatkan nilai percepatan vertikal di beberapa titik di kapal dalam kondisi head sea (μ= 1800) terletak diantara 0,622 m/s2 sampai 0,830 m/s2. Sedangkan untuk hasil analisis di perairan Adaut untuk sudut μ= 1350 didapatkan nilai percepatan vertikal di beberapa titik di kapal yaitu terletak diantara 0,540 m/s2 sampai 0,689 m/s2. Dan untuk hasil analisis di perairan Adaut kondisi beam sea (μ= 900) didapatkan nilai percepatan vertikal di beberapa titik di kapal yaitu terletak diantara 0,232 m/s2 sampai 0,330 m/s2. Sehingga, berdasarkan ISO 2631 kapal ferry ro-ro 500 GT yang berlayar di perairan Adaut akan mengalami kondisi fairly uncomfortable saat berlayar melawan arus (μ= 1800). Nilai MSI di perairan Adaut untuk sudut hadap gelombang 1800 memiliki nilai diantara 17,20% sampai 26,30%. Sedangkan nilai MSI di perairan Adaut untuk sudut hadap gelombang 1350 memiliki nilai diantara 10,00% sampai 18,70%. Dan untuk nilai MSI di perairan Adaut untuk sudut hadap gelombang 900 memiliki nilai diantara 2,20% sampai 5,10%.

Ferry boat design process is very concerned on seakeeping of the ship, especially that affect the safety and comfort of passengers. This final project aims to determine the magnitude of vertical acceleration and motion sickness incidence at some points on the ship. Vertical acceleration and motion sickness incidence were performed on three sea voyage areas: Adaut (Hs = 2.28 m), Saumlaki (Hs = 2.23 m) and Letwurung (Hs = 2.19 m). Be sides sea voyage areas, variations in heading angles are also used in this study that is 900, 1350 and 1800. Analysis of Response Amplitude Operator (RAO) is solved by Ansys Aqwa software to find ship movement response in heave and pitch conditions. After obtaining ship movement response for heave and pitch conditions, then solve calculation of relative motion to determine the magnitude of vertical acceleration and motion sickness incidence. Adaut is the water that have the highest significant wave of the three waves with a significant height of 2.28 meters. The results of analysis in the water of Adaut obtained vertical acceleration value at some point on the ship in the condition of head sea (μ = 1800) lies between 0.622 m/s2 to 0.830 m/s2. As for the analysis results in water of Adaut for angle μ= 1350 obtained the vertical acceleration value at some point on the ship that is lies between 0.540 m/s2 to 0.689 m/s2. The results of analysis in waters Adaut beam sea conditions (μ= 900) obtained by the vertical acceleration value at some point on the ship that is lies between 0.232 m/s2 to 0.330 m/s2. Thus, based on ISO 2631 the ro-ro 500 GT ferry boat sailing in the waters of Adaut will experience a fairly uncomfortable condition while sailing against the current (μ= 1800). The MSI values in the waters of Adaut for heading angle 1800 has a value between 17.20% to 26.30%. While the MSI values in the waters of Adaut for heading angle 1350 has a value between 10.00% to 18.70%. And for the MSI values in the waters of Adaut for heading angle 900 has a value between 2.20% to 5.10%.
