Abstract

Industri kosmetik dalam proses produksinya menggunakan fluida yang bersifat basa, yaitu campuran air (H2O)dengan larutan sabun. Industri ini memanfaatkan pompa cooling towersebagai media pendistribusiannya, karena pompa ini mampu mendistribusikan fluida dengan kapasitas yang besar. Pada tugas akhir ini didapatkan perhitungan ulang instalasi dan pemilihan pompa yang sesuai untuk instalasi pompa cooling tower. Perhitungan head, kapasitas, daya pompa dan efisiensi dilakukan secara analitis dan numerik menggunakan software pipe flow experts.
Berdasarkan analisis dan perhitungan ulang, maka didapatkan kapasitas untuk pompa cooling towerdengan kapasitas maksimal 400 m3/jam dengan head effektif instalasi (Heff) sebesar 13,7759 m serta didapatkan daya pompa sebesar 18,8594 kW. Sehingga dari hasil perhitungan-perhitungan tersebut dapat dipilih pompa horizontal split casing model 250 x 200 CNFA merk Ebara Pump dengan type 4-5CN5618

On production process, cosmetic industry uses a fluid which is bases, the fluid is a mix of soap solution and water. This industry utilizes cooling tower pump which is as distribution media, because this pump can distribute the fluids which are big capacity.
At this final projectis gotten recalculation of installation and pump choosing which appropriate for istallation of horizontal split casing pump with 250 x 200 CNFA model. Head, capacity, pump power and effeciency calculation use pipe flow experts software analitically and numerically.
At this analysis and recalculation are gotten capacity for horizontal split casing pump with 250 x 200 CNFA model that the maximal capacity is 400 m3/ h with installation effective head of 13,7759 m, and pump power of 18,8594 kW. So, from the calculations can be choosed horizontal split casing pump with 250 x 200 CNFA model with ebara pump merk 4-5CN5618 type.
