Abstract

Perancangan mini desalination water plant digunakan sebagai simulasi proses desalinasi disuatu industri Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU). Pada mini desalination water plant terdapat beberapa proses di dalamnya, salah satunya adalah simulasi pencampuran kadar garam pada tangki storage inlet Heat Exchanger dengan memanipulasi pengendalian level. Tugas akhir ini membahas tentang bagaimana mengendalikan kadar garam dan ketinggian air pada tangki storage yang dijaga sebesar 200gr dengan ketinggian 40 cm dimana konsentrasi diatur sebesar 15% dalam volume tangki. Sensor yang digunakan pada tugas akhir ini meliputi sensor salinitas dan ultrasonik hc-sr04, sedangkan aktuator yang dipakai untuk buka tutup valve adalah motor servo valve. Dari pengendalian salinitas didapatkan data overshoot yang terjadi sebesar 223,08 gram dengan selisih sebesar 23,08 gram dari nilai setpoint. Rise time sebesar 45 menit , peak time sebesar 65 menit, dan settling time sebesar 90 menit. Sedangkan dari pengendalian level didapatkan data bahwa overshoot yang terjadi sebesar 41,34 cm dengan selisih sebesar 1,34 cm dari nilai setpoint. Rise time sebesar 60 menit , peak time sebesar 90 menit, dan settling time sebesar 60 menit.

The design of mini desalination water plant is used as a simulation of desalination process in a Steam Power Plant (PLTU) industry. In the mini desalination water plant there are several processes in it, one of which is the simulation of salt mixing in the Heat Exchanger inlet storage tank by manipulating the level control. This final project discusses how to control the salt and water levels in the storage tank which is maintained at 200gr with a height of 40 cm where the concentration is set at 15% in the tank volume. Sensors used in this final task include salinity and ultrasonic sensors hc-sr04, while the actuator used to open the valve cover is a servo valve motor. From the control of salinity obtained overshoot data that happened at 223,08 gram with difference of 23,08 gram from setpoint value. Rise time of 45 minutes, peak time of 65 minutes, and settling time of 90 minutes. While from the control level obtained data that the overshoot that occurred for 41.34 cm with a difference of 1.34 cm from the setpoint value. Rise time of 60 minutes, peak time of 90 minutes, and settling time of 60 minutes.
