Abstract

Pembangkit listrik tenaga arus laut (PLTAL) merupakan salah satu struktur terapung atau platform yang berguna untuk kegiataan eksplorasi enargi laut di lepas pantai.selama masa pengoperasian Platform PLTAL sebagaimana bangunan terapung lainya akan menerima beban lingkungan diantaranya angin, arus, dan gelombang.Untuk menjaga platform agar tetap pada posisinya maka dibutuhkan system tambat (moring system ) yang berguna untuk mengikat platform. Sebagaimana permasalahan sistem tali tambat pada perairan dalam adalah Gaya tegangan (Tension) yang tinggi dan potensi trabrakan (Clashing) pada mooring line. Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh penambahan Clump buoy pada mooring system dengan variasi peletakan clump buoy yakni 40%, 50%, dan 60% terhadap panjang mooring line yang bertujuan mengurangi tension tali tambat dan letak optimum clump buoy terhadap mooring line saat kondisi beban collinear 0o, 45o, 90o, 135o, dan 180o.Dari hasil yang didapatkan setelah penambahan clump buoy kemudian dibandingkan dengan nilai tension sebelum ditambahkan clump buoy. Dari perbandingan tersebut diketahui bahwa penambahan clump buoy memberikan pengaruh tension yang lebih kecil pada mooring line. Kemudian dari variasi peletakan clump buoy, posisi optimum untuk mendapatkan nilai tension yang kecil yaitu terletak di posisi antara 50%-60% terhadap mooring line. Pada analisa ini juga tidak terjadi clashing pada mooring line. ============ Sea current energy power plant is one of many floating structure or platforms that are used to assist any offshore ocean energy exploration activities. The sea current energy power plant will receive environmental forces such as wind, current, and waves just like any other form of platforms during its operation. A mooring system that is used to tie the platform is mandatory to keep the platform at its appropriate position at all time. High tension and mooring line clashing are the most common problems found in the mooring system in deep water. This research will be discussing about the effect of Clump buoy addition on mooring system with clump buoy placement variation at 40%, 50%, and 60% to the length of the mooring line that aim to decrease the mooring line tension, and also to determine the optimum clump buoy position to the mooring line during 0o, 45o, 90o, 135o, and 180o collinear load condition. The result in the tension after the addition of clump buoy and before the addition are then compared to each other. From the result of the comparison, it determined that the clump buoy addition results in a decreased mooring line tension. Subsequently, from the variation of clump buoy placement, it is determined that 50%-60% to the mooring line is the optimum clump buoy placement to the mooring line that results in a smaller tension. Clashing on the mooring line also did not occur in this analysis.
