Abstract
Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat menuntut industri di Indonesia untuk terus berkembang dan meningkatkan kualitas. PT. Mekabox International adalah perusahaan produsen kertas karton coklat yang melaksanakan proses produksi apabila menerima konfirmasi pesanan dari pelanggan (make by order). Sebagai perusahaan yang menekankan kualitas produk terbaik bagi pelanggan, perusahaan mengaplikasikan proses pengendalian kualitas produk sebagai upaya untuk menjaga kualitas kertas. Karakteristik kualitas yang diukur yaitu daya tahan retak atau yang disebut dengan bursting strength. Produk yang memiliki bursting strength tidak standar menyebabkan gramatur kertas menjadi turun level dan akan dijual lebih murah dari harga aslinya, hal ini mengakibatkan biaya produksi meningkat, oleh karena itu proses pengukuran bursting strength perlu dianalisis sistem pengukurannya, sehingga dapat dijamin bahwa sistem pengukuran tersebut telah konsisten dan akurat. Analisis sistem pengukuran yang digunakan adalah Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility dengan ANOVA percobaan faktorial dua faktor. Faktor yang dipertimbangkan adalah faktor inspektor dan air pressure. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa sistem pengukuran bursting strength telah acceptable. Artinya, alat ukur bursting strength tester, inspektor dan cara pengukuran yang dilakukan dalam pengukuran sudah baik. =====================================================================Rapid technology developments affect the industry in Indonesia to grow and improve the quality. PT. Mekabox International is a company which has main business of brown paperboard production. PT. Mekabox International start to produce the paper board after accept the order confirmation from customers (make by order). As a company which focus on the best quality of product for customers, PT. Mekabox International apply the quality control process of product to mantain the quality of product. The quality characteristics measured is fracture resistance, i.e bursting strength. Products which have nonstandard bursting strength cause paper gramatur to fall down and will be sold cheaper than the original price, resulting in increased production costs. Therefore, bursting strength measurement process needs to be analyzed its measurement system, so the measurement system can guarante that the measurement system has been consistent and accurate. The measurement system analysis used is Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility using ANOVA with two factor factorial experiment. The factors to be considered are the inspector factor and air pressure. The results show that bursting strength measurement system has been acceptable. It is means that the bursting strength tester, inspector and measurement are well conducted and can be applied in the measurement.
