Abstract
PT. X merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang packaging industries di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Selama ini metode pengendalian kualitas di PT. X Sidoarjo dilakukan dengan cara memisahkan produk yang sesuai dan yang tidak sesuai dengan standar yang telah ditentukan. Dalam rangka peningkatan kualitas produk perlu dilakukan analisis kapabilitas proses setiap periode, karena kapabilitas proses dapat menjadi tolok ukur dalam menentukan apakah suatu proses produksi telah kapabel atau belum. Dengan melakukan analisis kapabilitas proses jumlah cacat yang berdasarkan jenis ketidaksesuaian maka dapat di informasikan bahwa pada bulan Januari (fase 1) tidak kapabel walaupun indeks Cp yang lebih dari 1 yaitu sebesar 1,276 karena proses produksi belum terkendali secara statistik, penyebab tidak terkendalinya proses produksi pada fase 1 dikarenakan kesalahan hasil printing yang disebabkan oleh mesin yang bermasalah, pegawai yang kurang berhati-hati, dan tidak mengikuti prosedur yang telah ditentukan dalam pemakaian mesin. Sedangkan pada bulan Febuari (fase 2) telah kapabel karena indeks Cp yang lebih dari 1 yaitu sebesar 1,42 dan proses produksi telah terkendali secara statistik.

PT. X is one of manufacturing companies who working in the area of packaging industries in sidoarjo. During this control of quality method in PT. X sidoarjo be conducted by way of separate products and who does not fit the standard which have been determined. In order to increase the product quality needs to be done analysis capabilities the process of any period, Becausec capabilities process could be measure in determining whether a production process has capable or no capable. With an analysis capabilities the process of the number of a disability that based on the type of the it can be inform that at January (phase one) not kapabel where the index Cp can be repersentativ with index of more than 1 is as much as 1,276 but production process not statistically under control, cause not uncontrollable production process at phase one because error the results of printing caused by an engine which troubled, employees less careful, and have not kept a procedure determined in discharging the machine.While in February (phase 2) has kapabel where the index Cp can be repersentativ with index of more than 1 is as much as 1.42 and production process have uncontrollable statistically.
