Abstract
PT. Meshindo Alloy Wheel adalah perusahaan manufaktur yang memproduksi aksesoris dan velg kendaraan roda empat. Salah satu produk utama perusahaan tersebut adalah velg aluminium MS626 yang digunakan untuk mobil xenia. Velg adalah komponen penting dalam berkendara karena menyangkut keamanan pengguna mobil dimana salah satu karakteristik yang perlu diperhatikan adalah kekuatan. Pengendalian kualitas yang telah dilakukan terhadap hasil produksi velg mobil MS626 baru dilakukan secara kimia, tetapi terhadap kekuatan velg belum dianalisis, sehingga belum diketahui apakah proses tersebut sudah terkendali dan kapabel. Pada penelitian ini ingin diketahui kapabilitas dan penyebab terjadinya ketidaksesuaian pada hasil proses produksi velg MS626. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh adalah terdapat ketidaksesuaian pada hasil proses produksi velg MS626 yang disebabkan oleh faktor kesalahan operator dalam pengukuran, operator yang mengantuk pada malam hari, dan belum dilakukan improvisasi pada material. Proses produksi velg MS626 sudah kapabel, ditunjukkan dengan indeks kapabilitas sebesar 1,2975.

PT. Meshindo Alloy Wheel is a manufactur company that producing accessories and velg for vehicle. One of the main product is aluminium alloy wheel MS626 that used for car with xenia brand. Alloy wheel is an important component in driving because it concerns the savety of driver. One of the important characteristics is strength. Quality control of production alloy wheel type MS626 had been analyze in chemically, but strength of the wheels had not been analyze, so it is important to know whether the process is controlled and capable. In this research, we want to know the capability and cause of nonconformity in result of production process of alloy wheels MS626. The result of the analysis is there are not conforming on production process caused by operator make mistake in measurement, operator are sleepy at night, and had not done material improvisation. The production process of MS626 alloy wheels are capable, indicated by capability index is 1,2975.
