Abstract
PT. Saritani Perkayuan Indonesia yang merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi plywood. Plywood yang diproduksi oleh PT. Saritani Perkayuan Indonesia memiliki ketebalan 2,7 mm, 18 mm, 15 mm. Plywood dengan ketebalan 15 mm biasa disebut plywood general panel. Dalam proses produksi plywood general panel terdapat empat grade yang dapat membedakan kualitas produk yaitu plywood uty better (grade A), plywood uty (grade B), plywood uty one (grade C), atau reject (grade D). Bobot kualitas masing-masing kategori adalah 30% untuk kategori plywood uty better, dan plywood uty, sedangkan bobot sebesar 20% untk kategori plywood uty one, dan reject. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh PT. Saritani Perkayuan Indonesia, yaitu jumlah produk cacat yang paling banyak terdapat pada kategori plywood uty mencapai 57%. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini diperlukan analisis kapabilitas proses agar didapatkan continous improvement dengan peta kendali Demerit. Dengan menggunakan peta kendali Demerit didapatkan informasi bahwa fase I (bulan Desember) dan fase II (bulan Januari) telah terkendali secara statistik, sedangkan indeks Cp kurang dari 1 yaitu -0,242 pada fase I, dan -0,248 pada fase II sehingga proses tidak kapabel. Ketidaksesuaian pada plywood general panel disebabkan oleh faktor manusia, material, metode,lingkungan, dan faktor mesin.

PT. Saritani Perkayuan Indonesia which is a company engaged in the production of plywood. Plywood produced by PT. The Indonesian Timber Farmer has a thickness of 2.7 mm, 18 mm, 15 mm. Plywood with a thickness of 15 mm is commonly called a plywood general panel. In the production process of plywood general panel there are four grade that can distinguish the quality of the products belonging to the category of plywood uty better (grade A), plywood uty (grade B), plywood uty one (grade C), or reject (grade D). The quality weights of each category are 30% for plywood uty better and plywood uty, while the weight are 20% for the plywood uty one, and rejects. The problems encountered by PT Saritani Perkayuan Indonesia is the number of product defects that are present in most categories plywood uty reached 57%. To resolve this issue is required in order to process capability analysis of continous improvement is obtained with the map control Demerit. By using the map control Demerit obtained information that a phase I (December) and phase II (January) were statistically controlled, while Cp index less than 1 are -0,242 on phase I and -0,248 on phase II so that the process does not capable. The discrepancy on a plywood panel general caused by human factors, materials, methods, environmental factors, and the machine.
