Abstract

Offshore structure has an influence particulary on the oil and gas industry. One oh the components is Single Point Mooring (SPM). The function is as a mooring infrastructure in the sea complated with the oil distribution system through the underwater pipeline, so that the tanker does not necessary move close to coastal area and/or docking. Every desiging SPM has tanker mooring capacity which will docking. But sometimes the tanker which is mooring to SPM has over capacity than SPM its self. This final project will describe about SPM tension analysis with the type of Catenary Anchored Leg Mooring (CALM) to get the over additional load from the structure capacity stated 300K DWT. It is hoped that from this research, we will know the maximum capacitygraph from the SPM on accepting overload from its mooring. The using software are MOSES 8.0 for SPM modelling and tanker modelling with output is Response Amplitude Operator (RAO), as well as Orcafles 9.2 for motion analysis. After the simulation with Orcaflex obtained the largest tension occurred in L1 with a 405.931 tF at the time of in line and 333.47 tF on between lines. The tension results also meet the minimum value of breaking load and safety factor.
