Abstract
Studi terdahulu telah diketahui bahwa mekanisme dari obat yang digunakan dalam terapi pengobatan kanker merupakan senyawa-senyawa yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk menginisiasi kematian sel kanker. Salah satu senyawa yang digunakan dalam kemoterapi yaitu doxorubicin tidak mempunyai kemampuan untuk melakukan targeting secara spesifik hanya pada sel kanker dan bersifat immunosupresif sehingga studi terbaru yang dilakukan saat ini lebih berfokus pada senyawa bahan alam untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai agen antikanker salah satunya adalah senyawa trisindolina-4. Proses pemanfaatannya, senyawa trisindolina-4 harus melalui beberapa pengujian termasuk uji sitotoksisitas dan uji indeks fagositosis.
Uji in-vitro dilakukan dengan menambahkan senyawa trisindolina-4 pada kultur makrofag dengan konsentrasi senyawa uji 100, 50, 25, 12,5 dan 6,25 (mg/ml). Kemudian dilakukan uji fagositosis dengan latex beads dan dihitung indeks fagositosis dan kapasitas fagositosis sel makrofag. Berdasarkan penelitian ini, senyawa trisindolina-4 dapat meningkatkan aktivitas fagositosis yang meliputi nilai indeks dan kapasitas fagositosis sel makrofag M. musculus. Hasil aktivitas fagositosis terbaik didapatkan pada perlakuan trisindolina-4 25 mg/ml.

Previous study mentioned that the mechanism of the drug used in cancer treatment therapy is compounds that have the ability to initiate cancer cell death. One of the compounds used in chemotherapy, doxorubicin, does not have the ability to target specifically only cancer cells and has immunosuppressive impact to immune system, so recent studies have focused more on natural compounds to be used as anticancer agents, one of which is the trisindoline-4 compound. In the process of utilization, the trisindoline-4 compound must undergo several tests including cytotoxicity test and phagocytic activity measurement.
In-vitro study of phagocytic activity were performed by adding trisindoline-4 compounds to macrophage cultures with concentrations of 100, 50, 25.5 and 6.25 (mg/ml). A phagocytosis test was performed with latex beads then phagocytic activity of macrophage cell of M. musculus by calculating phagocytic index and phagocytic capacity. The result showed that trisindoline-4 compound can increase macrophage cell phagocytic activity of macrophage cells of M. musculus in trisindoline-4 with concentration of the compound was 25 mg/ml.
