Abstract

Alat penukar panas yang telah dirancang dan dibuat adalah tipe shell and tube. Dalam alat penukar panas ini sisi tube mengalir fluida berupa air panas dengan suhu 70 oC dan sisi shell fluida berupa air dingin dengan suhu 10 oC. Prinsip kerja alat penukar kalor yang telah dibuat menggunakan prinsip perpindahan kalor dan heat mass balance. Bedasarkan hasil rancangan dimensi heat exchanger maka diperoleh panjang tube adalah 1,2 m, panjang shell 70 cm, jumlah tube sebanyak 6. Pada percobaan suhu campuran nilai yang didapatkan antara suhu 50 oC sampai dengan 25 oC. Pengujian temperature transmitter dilakukan selama selama 30 detik dan mengasilkan suhu yang berbeda dengan perancangan. Didapatkan suhu rata-rata yang mengalir pada output tube adalah 39 oC dan pada output shell adalah 31 oC sedangkan suhu output tube dan shell pada perancangan adalah 35 oC dan 38 oC.

Heat exchanger tool that has been designed and made
is a type of shell and tube. In this heat exchanger tube side flow
fluid in the form of hot water with a temperature of 70 oC and
the shell side fluid in the form of cold water with a temperature
of 10 oC. The working principle of a heat exchanger that was
created using the principles of heat transfer of heat and mass
balance. Based on the results of the design dimensions of the
heat exchanger then retrieved a long tube is 1.2 m, 70 cm shell
length, number of tube as much as 6. Experiment on the
temperature of the mixture obtained value between 50 °C
temperature up to 25 °C. Temperature transmitter testing done
for for 30 seconds and mengasilkan design with different
temperatures. It brings the average temperature that flow on
the output tube is 39 °C and in the output of the shell was 31
°C while the temperature of the output tube and shell on the
design is 35 °C and 38 °C.
