Abstract
Kondisi kesehatan mental di Indonesia memiliki berbagai permasalahan dan faktor utamanya adalah stigma terhadap gangguan kesehatan mental. Gangguan bipolar merupakan salah satu kegawat daruratan psikiatri yang awal terjadinya pada usia 18-25 tahun. Penyebab prevalensi bipolar cukup besar adalah gangguan jiwa ini sering terlambat dideteksi akibat dari keterbasan media informasi dan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat (Amir, 2010), sehingga diperlukan media yang dapat merepresentasikan bipolar agar masyarakat dapat menyadari gangguan tersebut sejak dini, yaitu pada usia awal terjadinya gangguan bipolar. Video animasi explainer dipilih sebagai media pengenalan bipolar karena dekat dengan target konsumen. Perancangan ini menggunakan metode observasi media untuk menganalisa video eksisting; Membuat prototype sebelum menghasilkan desain final. Pada tahap protyping penulis membuat draft rancangan awal berupa storyline, storyboard hingga animated storyboard; Dan melakukan depth interview kepada psikiater dan penderita gangguan bipolar untuk uji prototype. Luaran dari perancangan ini adalah video animasi explainer dengan konten pengertian gangguan bipolar; gejala yang dialami; cara penangan; faktor penyebab; hal yang harus dilakukan, hingga ajakan untuk memeriksakan diri ke dokter atau para ahli. yang disampaikan dengan konsep analogi, representatif dan edgy; yaitu menggambarkan konten ke dalam kegiatan sehari-hari penderita bipolar dan merepresentasikan bipolar dengan analogi, disertai dengan narasi dalam bahasa Indonesia.=================================================================================================================================================================Mental health condition in Indonesia has several problems which the main caused is the stigma toward mental illness. Bipolar disorder is one of the emergency situations in psychiatry, which the age of onset is 18-25 years old. The high prevalence rate of bipolar is caused by late acknowledging due to the limited information media and lack of understanding the bipolar, so is needed a media that represent bipolar disorder to help early noticed at the age of onset. Video animation explainer is chosen because that was the closest media for the target consumer. As for the methods for this design project are observation media to analyze existing video; Made a prototype before the final design. When prototyping, the writer made a storyline draft storyboard, and animated storyboard; Then depth interview with psychiatrist and bipolar people to test the prototype. The output from this project is video animation explainer with the content about what bipolar is, symptoms, how to handle it, the caused, what to do about it and tell the people to go to the doctor or any other experts, with analogy, representative, and edgy concept; which is illustrated the content to daily activity bipolar people and represent the disorder with an analogy, with narration in Bahasa.
