Abstract
Limbah kayu termasuk limbah organik sisa dari pengolahan kayu yang dalam pemanfaatannya masih kurang optimal, selama ini limbah kayu hanya dibiarkan begitu saja dimakan rayap, atau sebagai kayu bakar. Sebenarnya limbah kayu tersebut dapat diolah menjadi produk yang memiliki nilai jual tinggi. Pada dasarnya kayu merupakan hasil alam yang memiliki corak berbeda-beda. Bahkan motif dalam satu kayu-pun tidak sama, keunikan ini merupakan nilai tambah untuk menghasilkan kekhas-an sebuah produk. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah memanfaatkan kayu-kayu tersebut sehingga menjadi sebuah produk yang unik serta mempunyai nilai jual yang lebih tinggi, khususnya produk home decor yang cocok untuk eksekutif muda yang menyukai keunikan corak dari tekstur kayu. Adapun luaran produk dari eksplorasi limbah kayu ini meliputi Desk Collection untuk Eksekutif Muda, yaitu aksesori set untuk meja kantor Eksekutif Muda guna menunjang aktivitas bekerja dengan konsep Natural, Simple, dan Elegant. Varian produk ini diharapkan dapat menunjang suasana kantor yang nyaman maka efektivitas bekerja akan lebih meningkat.

Wood waste, including organic waste left over from wood processing which is still under optimal utilization, so far wood waste is only left to be eaten by termites, or as firewood. Actually wood waste can be processed into products that have a high selling value. Basically wood is a natural product that has different patterns. Even the motives in one wood are not the same, this uniqueness is an added value to produce a unique product. The purpose of this design is to use these woods to become a unique product and have a higher selling value, especially home decor products that are suitable for young executives who like the uniqueness of the wood texture. The product output from this wood waste exploration includes Desk Collection for the Young Executive, which is an accessory set for the Executive Young office desk to support activities working with the concepts of Natural, Simple, and Elegant. This product variant is expected to support a comfortable office atmosphere so the effectiveness of work will increase.
