Abstract

Studi analisis pencampuran sarang semut dan sirih merah di lingkungan H2SO4 1M. telah dilakukan menggunakan metode weight loss, EIS, Polarisasi, FTIR. Inhibitor sarang semut dan sirih merah mengandung zat antioksidan yang dapat menghambat laju korosi. Spesimen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah baja API 5L Grade B. Sementara komposisi pencampuran yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 100% SS : 0% SM, 75% SS : 25% SM, 50% SS : 50% SM, 25% SS : 75 % SM dan 0% SS : 100% SM. Hasil pengujian FTIR menunjukan bahwa terbentuk lapisan pasif akibat ikatan O, H, dan N. Pada uji weight loss efisiensi tertinggi berada pada komposisi pencampuran 50% SS : 50% SM dengan nilai 52,43%. Hasil uji polarisasi menunjukkan laju korosi menurun drastis dengan penambahan 50% SS : 50% SM yakni dari 36,32 mpy menjadi 7,93 mpy akibat adanya lapisan pasif pada permukaan baja API 5L Grade B. Hasil EIS menunjukkan adanya tahanan larutan (Rs), tahanan transfer muatan (Rct), dan CPE. Nilai energi bebas adsorpsi dari inhibitor campuran sarang semut dan sirih merah sebesar -10,02 kJ/mol dan merupakan adsorpsi fisika. =============================================================================================== The analysis of the mixture of Myrmecodia pendans and Piper ornatum in H2SO4 1M solution have been studied by weight loss, EIS, Polarization and FTIR. The Myrmecodia pendans and Piper ornatum chosen because they contain antioxidants that can inhibit the corrosion rate. The specimens used in this study is API 5L Grade B steel in H2SO4 1M solution. The composition used in this study was 100% SS : 0% SM, 75% SS : 25% SM, 50% SS : 50% SM, 25% SS : 75 % SM dan 0% SS : 100% SM. FTIR testing results show that passive layer formed by O, H and N bonds. In weight loss method shows the highest efficiency at 50% SS : 50% SM mix composition with 52,43%. Polarization testing shows the corrosion rate decreased drastically with the addition of 50% SS : 50% SM mix composition., i.e. from 36,32 mpy to 7,93 mpy due to passive layer formed on the steel surface. EIS results showed resistance solution (Rs), charge transfer resistance (Rct) and CPE. The adsorption free energy value of the mixture of Myrmecodia pendans and Piper ornatum is - 10,02 kJ/mol and it’s a physical adsorption.
