Abstract
Telah berhasil difabrikasi lapisan nano komposit PVA-TiO2 yang
dideposisikan pada substrat kaca dengan metode spin coating. Fabrikasi lapisan
dilakukan dengan menambahkan serbuk TiO2 ke dalam larutan PVA kemudian
diaduk selama selama 2 jam. Struktur dan morfologi lapisan diidentifikasi
menggunakan XRD dan SEM sedangkan sifat optiknya menggunakan UV-Vis
Spectrophotometer. Pola difraksi menunjukkan telah terjadi rekristalisasi pada
lapisan dan serbuk TiO2 dapat terdispersi secara merata pada permukaan PVA
dengan tebal lapisan sekitar 20 μm. Daerah penyerapan lapisan berada dalam
rentang panjang gelombang UV dan energi gap sekitar 3,49-3,59 eV. Aktivitas
fotokatalis lapisan diuji dengan mendegradasi larutan MB selama 5 jam
penyinaran. Lapisan PVA-TiO2 mampu mendegradasi konsentrasi larutan MB
hingga 29,90 % dengan laju degradasi 0,00393 ppm/menit.

Nano-composite PVA-TiO2 films have successfully been deposited on
the glass substrate by spin coating method. Fabrication was done by adding TiO2
nano-powders into PVA solution and then stirring for 2 hours. Structure and
morphology of the films were identified using XRD and SEM while the optical
properties using UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The diffraction patterns have
indicated that TiO2 nano-powders having anatase phase could be uniformly
dispersed on the surface of the PVA with thickness of 20 μm. From the
absorbance of films in the UV spectrum, the band energy gap of 3,49 to 3,59 eV
was obtained. Photocatalycal activity of nano-composite films was tested by
degrading MB solution for 5 hours under UV irradiation. PVA-TiO2 films can
degrade MB solution concentrations up to 29,90 % with the degradation rate of
0,00393 ppm/minute.
