Abstract

Distribution lines are needed for the distribution of electrical energy from the substation to the load center. Various types of problems that can cause losses often occur in distribution systems, and these losses can be felt either by the electricity provider or the consumer. Short circuit disruption is one of the problems that often occurs in distribution line, so that the existence of the short circuit on distribution line can trigger an imbalance in the system. The disruption like this need to be addressed appropriately and quickly so that it will not affect other systems.
In this Final Project, the writer will be identified the distance of the short circuit disruption location, then continued with the process of isolating the location of disruption and restoration of disruption. Determination of the distance of the disruption location is done by using dip voltage approach that occurs at the substation. The addition of a Sectional Switch is needed to carry out the isolation process, as well as the addition of a Tie Switch that is needed to connect the disrupted plant with the other plant. The result will be implemented using the Geographical Information System (GIS) mapping asset of Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) in East Java distribution area, so as to provide the results from the estimated distance of the short circuit disruption location with an informative appearance in spatial terms.
