Abstract
Produk Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) di PT. Swabina
Gatra yang mengalami banyak reject dan komplain dari pelanggan
adalah galon 19 liter. Agar karakteristik kualitas produksi baik secara
atribut maupun variabel sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang telah ditetapkan
oleh perusahaan maupun Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI) maka perlu
dilakukan pengendalian kualitas jumlah produk cacat menggunakan peta
kendali p dan pengendalian kualitas air menggunakan peta kendali XMR.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada pengendalian kualitas
jumlah produk cacat masih terdapat pengamatan yang out of control
dikarenakan mesin rusak ketika proses pencucian kemasan galon
sehingga kurang bersih, kurangnya pemahaman SOP dan kehigienisan
produk, mesin rusak akibat usia mesin sudah tua serta kurang tepatnya
penanganan bahan baku kemasan galon. Sedangkan pengendalian
kualitas air secara umum, proses produksi mengalami pergeseran
dikarenakan metode pengambilan air baku yang kurang tepat sehingga
perlu pengawasan ketat, kurangnya pemahaman SOP dan pengawasan
yang lemah, usia tabung sand filter sudah tua dan mesin pengisian air
rusak serta tingginya temperatur ruangan di tempat proses produksi.
Selanjutnya kapabilitas proses berdasarkan jumlah produk cacat belum
menghasilkan proses produksi yang kapabel namun kapabilitas proses
berdasarkan kualitas air menghasilkan proses produksi yang kapabel.

The 19 litres mineral water is one among other products at PT.
Swabina Gatra Gresik yielding a lot number of rejection and complaints
from customers. The quality control research is being done in order to
fulfill the factory and national standard of SNI quality characteristics
using p control chart for attribute characteristics and X-MR control
chart for variables characteristics. The resultan for p control chart
indicate that some observations are out of control line because the
machine was broken, the unclean and unhygiene gallon washing process
and the lack understanding of the SOP (Standard Operational Process),
machinery damaged from the engine very long lifetime, lack of materials
handling and the unproper galon treatment. While the general water
quality control process of shifting production process due to raw water
extraction method is less precise that need strict supervision, a lack of
understanding of the SOP and weak oversight, age sand filter tube that
old and filling machine water into the damaged packaging, temperature
conditions in the production process. The process capability of the
number of product defect yield incapable process, otherwise the process
capability of the water quality yield the capable production process.
