Abstract
ZSM-5 mesopori dengan kombinasi pori berukuran mikro dan meso telah
berhasil disintesis dari silika koloid dan kaolin Bangka Belitung secara langsung
sebagai sumber silika dan alumina menggunakan metode hidrotermal dengan dua
tahap kristalisasi. ZSM-5 mesopori disintesis dari benih silikalit sebagai pengarah
struktur ZSM-5 dan CTABr (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) sebagai templat
pengarah mesopori. ZSM-5 mesopori disintesis dengan perbandingan rasio mol
10Na2O : 100SiO2 : 2Al2O3 : 1800H2O, SiO2/ CTABr = 3,85 dengan penambahan
benih silikalit 1 % dari massa padatan. Pengaruh waktu dan suhu aging pada
pembentukan ZSM-5 mesopori dilakukan dengan aging gel selama 6, 12 dan 24
jam masing-masing pada suhu 30, 50 dan 70 oC. Metode dua tahap kristalisasi
digunakan untuk pembentukan prekusor zeolit yaitu pada suhu 80 ºC selama 12
jam untuk kristalisasi tahap pertama dan 150 ºC selama 24 jam untuk kristalisasi
tahap kedua. Padatan yang terbentuk dikarakterisasi dengan teknik XRD, FTIR,
SEM-EDX dan adsorpsi-desorpsi nitrogen. Kristalinitas ZSM-5 meningkat seiring
dengan meningkatnya suhu dan waktu aging. Hasil karakterisasi spektroskopi
inframerah (FTIR) menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama waktu aging maka
intensitas dari puncak karakteristik ZSM-5 pada bilangan gelombang 550 cm-1
semakin meningkat sehingga kristalinitas ZSM-5 juga meningkat. Karakterisasi
adsorpsi-desorpsi nitrogen menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama waktu aging maka
luas dan volume mesopori cenderung semakin berkurang. Luas mesopori paling
tinggi diperoleh sebesar 255,78 m2/g yaitu sampel yang diaging pada suhu 70 ºC
selama 6 jam.

Mesoporous ZSM-5 with combination of micro and meso-sized pores has
been synthesized from colloidal silica and kaolin directly as a source of silica and
alumina using hydrothermal method with two-step of crystallization. ZSM-5
synthesized mesoporous silicalite seed as the structure of ZSM-5 and CTABr
(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide) as template of mesoporous. Synthesized
mesoporous ZSM-5 with a mol ratio of 10Na2O: 100SiO2: 2Al2O3: 1800H2O,
SiO2/ CTABr = 3.85 by the addition of silicalite seed 1% of the mass of solids.
Influence of aging time and temperature on the formation of mesoporous ZSM-5
had been done with aging gel for 6, 12 and 24 hours at 30, 50 and 70 °C,
respectively. Two-step crystallization method was used for the formation of
zeolite precursor that is at a temperature of 80 ºC for 12 hours to the first stage
crystallization and 150 ºC for 24 hours to crystallization of the second stage. The
solids that formed were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM-EDX and nitrogen
adsorption-desorption techniques. ZSM-5 crystallinity increases with increasing
temperature and aging time. Characterization results of infrared spectroscopy
(FTIR) showed that the longer of aging time, the intensity of the peak
characteristic of ZSM-5 at wave number 550 cm-1 was increased, the crystallinity
of ZSM-5 is also increased. Characterization of nitrogen adsorption-desorption
was showed that the longer of aging time, the area and volume of mesoporous
tends to decrease. The most high mesoporous area was obtained by sample aged at
70 ºC for 6 hours i.e. 255.78 m2/g.
