Abstract

Generator 1x35 MW. Analisis aliran daya dan hubung singkat
diperlukan untuk mendapatkan koordinasi proteksi yang tepat.
Gradingtime antar rele diatur sesuai standar IEEE 242 yaitu 0,2 detik
singkat.

In the industrial world, the continuity of the production is
determined by the availability of electrical continuity, it can be filled by
using the electric power system protection to fulfill the factor of
effectiveness and selective. In chemical factory, the reability and
continuity have a great effect of their safety to keep the hazardous
materials which used for the basics of production. Now a day, PT.
Pupuk Sriwijaya (Pusri) Palembang expanding their factory by build a
new plant with a generator 1x35 MW. These circumstances make PT.
Pusri have to change the setting of protection coordination from its
previous state to keep the selectivity and effectiveness factors. A study of
protection coordination is needed to improve the reliability of the
protection system in PT. Pusri Palembang. This thesis is focused on
discussing the protection coordination studies to determine the
appropriate relay setting after the addition of plant load P2B and 1x35
MW Generator. The analysis of power flow and short circuit protection
is required to obtain the proper coordination. Grading time between
relay set according to the IEEE 242 standard, namely 0.2 seconds to 0.3
seconds and a time delay relay is coordinated so that it can work like we
needed. The protection coordination have to protect from disruption of
current overload and short circuit current.
