Abstract

Kontinuitas daya, efisiensi energi, dan keamanan sistem tenaga
listrik adalah alasan utama yang menyebabkan peningkatan penambahan
distributed generation pada saluran distribusi listrik. Dengan
penambahan distributed generation pada sistem distribusi
mengakibatkan kontinuitas daya dan efisiensi daya akan terjaga, namun
akan mengakibatkan konfigurasi sistem berubah-ubah seiring dengan
penambahan distributed generation. Perubahan konfigurasi sistem
tersebut akan berpengaruh pada setting rele proteksi sistem eksisting.
Apabila setting rele menggunakan setting eksisting pada saat terjadi
perubahan konfigurasi sistem maka kemungkinan akan terjadi miss
coordination atau loss coordination pada sistem, untuk menghindari hal
tersebut, diperlukan setting rele yang adaptif. Dalam proses adaptasi
rele, parameter-parameter rele harus ditentukan dari masing-masing
konfigurasi sistem. Penentuan parameter-parameter rele dapat dilakukan
secara manual, namun cara ini terkadang membutuhkan banyak waktu
karena setting manual dilakukan dengan proses trial and error. Proses
trial and error dapat dihilangkan dengan mengoptimalisasikan rele,
dengan optimalisasi rele, penentuan parameter rele dapat dilakukan
dengan sekali menjalankan program. Pada tugas akhir ini, proses
pengoptimalisasian rele menggunakan firefly algorithm.

Power continuity, energy efficiency, and power system security
are the main reasons that resulted significant penetration of distributed
generation on distribution power system. The Addition of distributed
generation on distribution power system will causing power continuity
and energy efficiency will be maintained, but the other result is in a
system configuration change along with the addition of distributed
generation. The system configuration changes will affect the existing
system of protection relay settings. If the system configuration changes
and the relay still using the existing settings, it may lead to a miss
coordination or loss coordination in the system. To avoid this, an
adaptive relay setting is needed. In the relay adaptation process, the
parameters should be determined from each system configuration. The
determination of the parameters can be done manually, but in manual
settings sometimes requires a lot of time because it’s done by trial and
error process. The process of trial and error can be eliminated by
optimizing the relay, with optimization of relay the parameters
determination can be done with a running program. In this final project,
the optimization relay process using firefly algorithm.
