Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan produksi etanol dengan proses hydrolisis eceng gondok basah dengan menggunakan H2SO4 5% dan fermentasi hidrolisat menggunakan kultur campuran bakteri Zymomonas Mobillis dan ragi Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. Proses fermentasi dilakukan dengan variasi waktu 12, 24, 36, 48, dan 60 jam dengan suhu fermentasi 30 derajat selsius. Hasil fermentasi yang diperoleh di uji menggunakan gas kromatografi dan didapatkan kadar etanol berurutan sebesar 44,75%; 50,37%; 79,22%; 87,05%; 91,65% dan diperoleh yield etanol sebesar 26,74%; 27,67%; 31,53%; 32,62%; 38,89%. Kadar etanol terbesar didapatkan pada variasi waktu 60 jam sebesar 91,65% dengan yield 38,89%. =============== In this study ethanol production has been carried out with the hydrolysis process of wet water hyacinth using H2SO4 5% and hydrolysate fermentation using a mixture of Zymomonas mobillis bacteria and Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast. Where from the fermentation process carried out with a variation of time 12, 24, 36, 48, and 60hours with a fermentation temperature of 30 derajat celsius and obtained fermentation results were tested using gas chromatography and obtained ethanol content of 44,75%; 50,37%; 79,22%; 87,05%; 91,65% sequentially and obtained ethanol yield of 26,74%; 27,67%; 31,53%; 32,62%; 38,89%. The highest ethanol content was obtained at 60 hours time variation of 91,65% with yield 38,89%.
