Abstract
Pertumbuhan bidang kuliner terurama restoran yang pesat memicu persaingan antar restoran. Masing-masing restoran berlomba meningkatkan kualitas untuk menarik minat pasar salah satunya di masyarakat Surabaya. Interior restoran selain memberi kesan nyaman juga dapat mencerminkan identitas restoran. Rumah Makan Handayani adalah restoran lokal khas Jawa Timur di Surabaya, Jawa Timur. Selama beroperasi, ditemukan beberapa permasalahan interior antara lain; kurang terkonsepnya desain khas Jawa Timur pada restoran, layout ruang belum efisien, dan perlu penambahan ruang fasilitas contohnya lobby dan cafe.
Tugas akhir dengan judul “Desain Interior Rumah Makan Handayani Dengan Nuansa Budaya Surabaya dan Madura" merubah tema ruang untuk lebih menonjolkan sisi khas Jawa Timur . Tema budaya Surabaya mewakili konsep restoran lokal. Tema budaya Madura mewakili karakter masyarakat Surabaya yang sebagian besar dari etnis Madura. Dalam aplikasinya, tema Budaya Surabaya ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan konsep batik Surabaya dan tegel klasik khas tahun 1970 an. Tema budaya Madura ditunjukkan dengan penggunaan konsep pecut Madura.
Aplikasi konsep budaya Surabaya dan Madura pada ruang restoran diaplikasikan pada semua elemen interior. Contohnya dapat dilihat pada penggunaan konsep pecut pada bentuk furniture, partisi, dan mural pada dinding. bentukan furnitur simple-geometric dan klasik, material finishing kayu pada dinding-lantai-plafon, penerapan wallpaper logo RM Handayani.

The culinary sector growth especially restaurant that rapidly triggers the competitions among restaurant. Each restaurant competes to improves the quality of to attract market one of them is in the Surabaya citizen. Interior Design of restaurant as far as being good impression also make to characterize of identity Handayani Restaurant is a local restaurant especially Javanese cuisine in Surabaya, East Java. As long as operating, several problems were found the interior of among others; The lacking concept of authentic East Javanese interior in Handayani restaurant, Layout space not efficient, and Facilities need to the addition of space example lobby and café.
Final Project “Interior Design Handayani Restaurant With The Concept of Surabaya and Madura Culture" designing space to more show of characteristics East Java Culture. The concept of Surabaya culture represent the local restaurant . The concept of Madura culture represent the surabaya citizen which most of ethnic Madura. In the concept, Surabaya and Madura to show of with the Surabaya batik and application old tile for floor as look like in era 1970 century. The concept of Madura culture using the Madura etchnic whip for the application in design.
The application concept of Surabaya and Madura culture in space restaurant to show of all element in interior. Example the application Madura ethnic whip for furniture, partition, mural art, wall, plafond, etc. The furniture using the base concepts are minimalist and classic. Minimalist can see on the furniture, shape, using mural art layout, and choosing the patern floors. The applicaton classic concept on furniture, pallet of glod, brown, red, and green, using mirror and use carved on shade element.
