Abstract
MIMO radar memiliki kelebihan utama yaitu diversity waveform yang berfungsi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan untuk mengidentifikasi parameter target. Parameter target meliputi jumlah maksimum target yang dapat dideteksi, sudut scanning, dst. Namun MIMO radar memiliki kelemahan yaitu tidak terdapat gain yang koheren. Gain yang koheren merupakan kelebihan dari Phased-array radar. Untuk memanfaatkan keunggulan dari kedua radar tersebut, diusulkan Phased-MIMO radar. Phased-MIMO radar memanfaatkan beberapa elemen antena untuk membentuk suatu sub-array yang menghasilkan gain yang koeheren. Dan beberapa elemen lain dengan adanya overlapping akan membentuk sub-array selanjutnya yang menghasilkan
diversity waveform. Penelitian ini difokuskan pada kemampuan Phased-MIMO radar untuk mengidentifikasi parameter target. Parameter yang dimaksud adalah jumlah maksimum target yang dapat dideteksi oleh radar, sudut target dan jarak target yang dapat dideteksi oleh radar. Paramater identifikasi dari Phased-MIMO radar akan dibandingkan dengan MIMO radar dan Phased-array radar.

Diversity is the main advantage of MIMO radar. Diversity is able to improve radar capabilities to identify target parameters. Target parameters including the maximum number of targets that can be detected, the target angle, range, etc. In fact, the weakness of radar MIMO is the coherent gain. However, coherent gain is the main advantage of the Phased-array radar. Combining both of advantages, then Phased-MIMO radar has been proposed. On Phased-MIMO radar, the antenna is arranged into sub-arrays form. One sub-array is composed of several antennas with same phase. One
sub-array will produce coherent gain. Diversity waveform is produced by other sub arrays, by allowing overlapping of the antenna. This paper reports on the Phased-MIMO radar capability to identify target parameters. The target parameter is the maximum number of targets that can be detected by radar and the target angle that can be detected
by radar.
