Abstract

Rele arus lebih adalah peralatan proteksi yang penting dalam sistem
tenaga. Adanya pembangkit tersebar menimbulkan beberapa tantangan
untuk melindungi sistem distribusi. Untuk mengurangi kerugian akibat
arus beban lebih maupun arus gangguan hubung singkat dan menghindari
kesalahan opearasi rele backup, karena itu koordinasi rele arus lebih
dalam sistem proteksi menjadi perhatian utama para insinyur proteksi dan
peneliti. Tugas akhir ini menyajikan koordinasi optimal OCR pada sistem
distribusi radial dengan DG. Koordinasi optimal OCR didasarkan pada
pemilihan nilai time dial setting (TDS) dan arus pickup (Ipickup) untuk
mendapatkan waktu operasi rele minimal. Modified firefly algorithm
(MFA) diusulkan untuk mencari koordinasi optimal OCR. Metode MFA
digunakan pada sistem dengan tiga pembangkit yang berbeda dengan
berbagai kondisi sistem. Metode MFA dibandingkan dengan metode
firefly algorithm (FA) asli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode
yang diusulkan secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan hasil dari FA asli
dan dapat mengurangi waktu operasi dari koordinasi OCR.

Overcurrent relays (OCRs) is an important devices in the power
system. In the presence of distribution generation (DG), cause several
challenges to protection of distribution system. To reduce effect of
overload and overcurrent and avoid mal-operation of the backup relays,
therefor OCR coordination in protection system get a major concern of
the protection engineer and researcher. This paper presents an optimal
OCR coordination in power distribution system under the presence of
DG. An optimal OCR coordination is based on the selection of time dial
setting (TDS) and pickup current inorder to obtain minimum operating
time for the relays. A modified firefly algorithm (MFA) is proposed to
finds the optimal OCR coordination. The proposed method is applied to
three different case studies with DG in several of system condition. The
proposed method is compared with the original firefly algorithm. The
results show that the proposed method can significantly improve the
result of the original firefly algorithm and reduce operating time of the
OCR coordination.
