Abstract
Fasilitas produksi dapat diartikan sebagai seluruh komponen yang dimiliki perusahaan dalam melakukan kegiatan produksi. Fasilitas produksi perlu ditata sedemikian rupa agar menunjang kelancaran proses produksi. Penataan fasilitas produksi yang kurang baik akan menyebabkan terhambatnya proses pemindahan bahan sehingga berpengaruh besar terhadap kelancaran proses produksi.
Dalam tugas akhir ini, akan dibahas mengenai perancangan ulang tata letak produksi UD. Logam Rapi. Berdasarkan pengamatan awal ditemukan bahwa perusahaan mengalami kendala dalam proses material handling. Kendala meliputi adanya perpotongan aliran (cross movement) dan gerak bolak-balik (back tracking) karena tata letak fasilitas produksi yang kurang teratur. Perbaikan tata letak produksi dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan pendekatan Group Technology. Metode Rank Order Clustering (ROC), Rank Order Clustering 2 (ROC 2) dan Bond Energy Algorithm (BEA) digunakan dalam pembentukan cell formation.
Dari rancangan tata letak yang baru, diperoleh total pengurangan jarak material handling sebesar 9.172 m dan penghematan biaya sebesar Rp4.070.901,00/bulan atau sebesar 26.88%.

Production facilities can be interpreted as all components of the company in carrying out production activities. Production facilities need to be arranged in such a way as to support the production process. Unfavorable production facilities preparation will cause delays in the process of transferring material so that it has a large effect on the continuity of the production process.
In this final project, we will discuss the redesign of UD. Logam Rapi 's production layout. Based on preliminary observations, it was found that the company experienced problems in material handling processes. The problems include cross movement and back tracking because of the disordered layout of production facilities. Improvement of production layout is finished by utilizing the Group Technology approach. The Rank Order Clustering (ROC) method, Rank Order Clustering 2 (ROC 2) and Bond Energy Algorithm (BEA) are used in cell formation.
From the results of the proposed layout, the total reduction in material handling distance was obtained by 9.172 meters and cost savings of Rp 4.070.901,00 / month or 26.88%.
