Abstract

PT.

PT. X is a company that have main business in maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Unit Material Service (TM) is in charge of management material which in the group of expendable. A trade-off in control system affects surplus and shortage. Traditional procurement system place vendor and consumers in two different echelons. It often results in vendors fail to catch an early signal from consumers regarding the amount and time for ordering. Current system control at this moment can make total low total cost, but service level that can be reached is still low. To overcome these problems, using Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) method can solve the problem by using continuous review (s, S). So that, the decision of time and amount is determined by the vendor. For supplier selection, the AHP method can be used to considering four criteria there is the frequency of purchases, price, lead time, and communication system. This research using lead time and demand that is probabilistic, and also consider holding cost sharing between vendor and customer. Next, there are ten scenarios for the current method that designed. As s result, the VMI method can increase service level about 1.8% and a decrease in total cost about 4.58%. This research also considers sensitivity analysis. The material that is most sensitive to demand changes are CH31900-6: OAFL4, and VELCROP120:GMFDM. Meanwhile, the material most sensitive to lead time changes are 9523M21P01: 07068 and FASTBOND10: 5H611, this is because the lead time of those materials is 100 and 76 days respectively.
