Abstract

This study discusses the determination of the Sub Depot location for PT
Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) that send service parts to consumers throughout
Indonesia. The total number of Sub Depot to be established must be minimal but
can fulfill the delivery time standard and other criteria, such as supporting
facilities, total lead time, number of consumers served according to delivery time
standards, local government regulations, and stability of natural factors. The
Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is used to select alternative
collection of Sub Depot locations that obtained from the calculation of the discrete
location-allocation optimization model (Covering Model, P-Center Model, and P-
Median Model). The Sub Depot reliability model is used as a consideration of
strategic plans if the main Sub Depot cannot serve consumers. The results showed
that the collection of locations resulting from the calculation of the P-Median
Model ranked first for the entire island (Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali and
Papua) based on the preferences of decision makers. Parameters that can influence
changes in the decision to determine Sub Depot locations are the service parts
delivery time standards, the number of Sub Depots to be built, and the fixed costs
for establishing Sub Depots.
