Abstract
================================================================================================
The use of renewable energy continues to be developed to reduce dependence on fossil energy that has adverse impacts on the environment. Renewable energy sources such as hydropower, solar power, geothermal power, and wind turbines have been widely developed and are a source of energy that is environmentally friendly. Generally, the existing plant has a large capacity and is located far from the load center, requiring a long distribution system. This causes the supply of electrical energy at the end of the load to be not channeled completely. Given that DG’s placed at the end of a load that have a small capacity can help solve the problem of electrical energy supply. The use or addition of DG in large numbers certainly has an impact on the system. Judging from the frequency response, voltage, and rotor angle the addition of DG in large quantities has various impacts. The impacts depend on DG laying on the system, the number of loads, the DG rating used, and the type of generator used. This final project focuses on the analysis of transient stability in the system due to the addition of Distributed Generation in large quantities.
