Abstract

Teknologi otomotif mengalami perkembangan pesat beberapa tahun terakhir, begitu pula dari sektor mobil, yang juga diiringi dengan tingginya penjualan kendaraan di pasar otomotif global tidak terkecuali Indonesia. Berdasarkan data Gabungan Industri Kendaraan Bermotor Indonesia (Gaikindo) menunjukkan penjualan mobil pada kuartal bulan Juli 2018 tercatat sebanyak 107.431 unit.Variabel yang mengalami perubahan adalah tipe transmisi yang digunakan. Melihat tingginya tingkat produksi dan penjualan mobil di Indonesia dan melihat arah perkembangan penjualan dari tipe transmisi, seharusnya pihak produsen mengimbanginya dengan upaya memberikan informasi detail mengenai mobil kepada konsumen seperti yang telah dilakukan di beberapa negara maju dalam upaya mencerdaskan konsumen. Realitas yang terjadi di pasaran Indonesia, informasi yang diberikan oleh pihak pabrikan mengenai detail spesifikasi mobil kepada konsumen masih sangatlah terbatas. Kebanyakan brosur hanya menampilkan upgrade teknologi dan fitur terbaru yang mereka miliki tanpa mencantumkan detail informasi mengenai karakteristik mesin kendaraan tersebut. Perbedaan sistem transmisi juga menghasilkan performa yang berbeda juga. Sehingga perbedaan itulah yang mendasari penulis untuk melakukan analisis dan studi eksperimen perbandingan transmisi manual dengan transmisi cvt pada mobil Honda Jazz 2018, berdasarkan karakteristik traksi dan efisiensi transmisi.
Dalam penelitian ini, penulis akan melakukan tiga tahapan penelitian. Tahapan pertama adalah melakukan pengujian dynotest pada kedua tipe transmisi mobil untuk mengetahui daya aktual serta efisiensi transmisi. Tahap kedua, dilakukan analisa perhitungan sehingga di dapatkan grafik karakteristik mobil. Selanjutnya tahap ketiga dilakukan perbandingan terhadap grafik karakteristik tiap transmisi mobil berdasarkan efisiensi transmisi yang akan diolah dalam bentuk perbandingan grafik.
Dari penelitian ini diperoleh grafik karakteristik traksi mobil. Pengujian dynotest menunjukan efisiensi transmisi total dari mobil Jazz transmisi cvt sebesar 60,2% dan manual sebesar 71,2%. Setelah dilakukan analisa, terhadap karakteristik traksi pada tiap tipe transmisi didapatkan bahwa transmisi cvt memiliki nilai traksi maksimum 3,708 kN, mampu melewati tanjakan maksimum sebesar 19,862°, memiliki kecepatan maksimum 188 km/jam dan percepatan sebesar 3,332 m/s2 sedangkan transmisi manual memiliki nilai traksi maksimum 5,33 kN, mampu melewati tanjakan maksimum sebesar 32,248°, memiliki kecepatan maksimum 182 km/jam dan percepatan sebesar 5,232 m/s2.

Automotive technology has experienced rapid development in recent years, as well in the car sector, which is also accompanied by high vehicle sales in the global automotive market, including Indonesia. Based on data from the Indonesian Automotive Industry Association (Gaikindo), car sales in the quarter of July 2018 were recorded at 107,431 units. Variables that experienced changes were the types of transmission used. Seeing the high level of car production and sales in Indonesia and seeing the direction of sales growth from the type of transmission, manufacturers should compensate for this by providing consumers with detailed information about cars as has been done in several developed countries in an effort to educate consumers. Realities that occur in the Indonesian market, information provided by the manufacturer regarding the detailed specifications of the car to consumers is still very limited. Most brochures only feature the latest technology upgrades and features they have without including detailed information about the characteristics of the vehicle's engine. The difference in the transmission system also produces different performance too. So that the difference is what underlies the author to conduct analysis and experimental studies comparing the manual transmission with CVT transmission on the Honda Jazz 2018, based on traction characteristics and transmission efficiency.
In this study, the author will conduct three stages of research. The first stage is to carry out dynotest testing on both types of car transmissions to determine the actual power and transmission efficiency. The second stage, calculation analysis is carried out so that it gets a graph of the characteristics of the car. Furthermore, the third stage is a comparison of the graphs of the characteristics of each car transmission based on the transmission efficiency that will be processed in the form of a graph comparison.
From this study a graph of traction characteristics of the car was obtained. The dynotest shows the total transmission efficiency of the CVT Jazz transmission car at 60.2% and manually at 71.2%. After analysis, the traction characteristics of each transmission type found that CVT transmission has a maximum traction value of 3.708 kN, capable of passing a maximum incline of 19.862 °, has a maximum speed of 188 km / h and acceleration of 3.332 m / s2 while a manual transmission has a traction value maximum of 5.33 kN, capable of passing a maximum incline of 32,248 °, having a maximum speed of 182 km / h and acceleration of 5,232 m / s2.
