Abstract
PLTAL (Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Arus Laut) merupakan salahsatu
pembangkit listrik terbarukan karena memanfaatkan arus laut yang dapat
dikonversikan dari tenaga mekanik menjadi tenaga listrik, dalam konversi dari
tenaga mekanik menjadi tenaga listrik dibutuhkan 4 (empat) komponen
penting, yaitu turbin, poros, generator dan gear. Desain dari 4 komponen
sangat penting karena bersangkutan dengan efisiensi dari pembangkit listrik
tersebut. Dalam merencanakan poros perlu diperhatikan gaya-gaya yang
menjadi beban dari poros tersebut, seperti heave dan rolling yang sering terjadi
pada benda yang terapung dilaut, maka dari itu perlu diperhitungkan ukuran
poros yang mampu menahan beban lingkungan yag terjadi, dan juga perlu
diperhitungkan komponen-komponen penahan untuk poros itu sendiri. Dari
hasil penelitian didapatkan torsi total akibat adanya gaya rolling pada platform
pada kecepatan 2,5 m/s adalah 942,64 lb in, dan juga didapatkan RPM 115,26,
power yang dihasilkan turbin pada saat arus 2,5 m/s adalah 1,47 HP.
Perancangan pada poros pinion dengan posisi vertical digunakan poros
bertingkat dengan masing-masing diameter d1=6,4961 in atau 165 mm dengan
safety factor 4,2 ; d2= 5,5118 in atau 140 mm dengan safety factor 2,5 dan d3=
4,7131 in atau 115 mm dengan safety factor 1,6. Pada poros gear didapatkan
diameter sebesar 2,7559 in atau 70 mm dengan safety factor 6,4. Dari hasil
perhitungan dynamic load bearing untuk poros gear didapatkan nilai 10502,66
lb dan kemudian dilakukan pemilihan bearing dengan spesifikasi d = 2,7559
in atau 70 mm ; D = 4,9213 in atau 125 mm dan B = 0,9449 in atau 24 mm.
Pada perancangan stern tube didapat ukuran Panjang 110 lb diameter luar d1= 14,960 = 360 mm ;d2 = 7,2834 = 185 mm Branches untuk penahan poros
dengan dengan Panjang 0,06 m dan lebar 0,02 dengan safety factor 2,8

PLTAL ( Pembangkit Listrik Tenag Arus Laut) Sea flow power plant is one of the renewable power plants because it utilizes ocean currents that can be converted from mechanical power to electricity, in the conversion of mechanical power into electricity it takes 4 (four) important components, namely turbines, shafts,generators and gear. The design of the 4 components is very important because it is concerned with the efficiency of the power plant. In planning the shaft, it is necessary to pay attention to the forces that are the burden of the shaft, such as heave and rolling which often occur on floating objects in the sea, therefore it is necessary to take into account the size of the shaft which is able to withstand environmental loads anchoring for the shaft itself. From the research results obtained total torque due to the rolling force on the platform at a speed of 2,5 m / s is 942,64 lb in, and also obtained RPM 115,26, the power generated by the turbine at 2,5 m / s is 1,47 HP. The design of the vertical position pinion shaft is used a multi-axle with each diameter d1 = 6,4961 in or 165 mm with safety factor 4,2 ; d2 = 5,5118 in or 140 mm with safety factor 2,5 and d3 = 4.7131 in or 115 mm with safety factor 1,6. On the gear shaft obtained a diameter of 2,7559 in or 70 mm with safety factor 6,4 and then the selection of bearings with specifications d = 2.7559 in or 70 mm; D = 4,9213 in or 125 mm and B = 0,9449 in or 24 mm. In the design of the stern tube obtained a size of 110 lb outside diameter d1 = 14,960 = 360 mm; d2 = 7,2834 = 185 mm Branches for shaft support with a length of 0,06 m and a width of 0,02 with a safety factor of 2,8.
