Abstract
Praktikum Jaringan Komputer di Departemen Informatika ITS merupakan kewajiban yang harus dijalankan oleh mahasiswanya. Namun alat praktikum yang menggunakan User Mode Linux (UML) tidak lagi dikembangkan dan pada akhirnya tidak kompatibel dengan perkembangan sistem operasi mutakhir. Salah satu alternatif yang bisa digunakan adalah dengan tekonologi kontainer. Perangkat lunak yang cukup dikenal mengimplementasikan teknologi kontainer adalah docker. Ditambah dengan hadirnya konsep bernama NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) sejak 2012 yang sangat terbuka pada berbagai platform untuk komponen-komponennya, alternatif baru dapat dihadirkan untuk membuat alat praktikum Jaringan Komputer.
Dalam tugas akhir ini akan dibangun sebuah sistem berbasis web yang terintegrasi dengan docker untuk membuat fungsi jaringan virtual. Sistem ini dapat memenuhi kebutuhan praktikum Jaringan Komputer yang terdiri dari bermacam-macam modul pembelajaran seperti web service, DNS, DHCP, routing, dan subnetting. Sistem juga menyediakan tampilan simulasi topologi jaringan. Berdasarkan hasil uji coba, penanganan sistem terhadap pembuatan topologi jaringan sederhana memakan sumber daya server yang cukup signifikan.

Computer Network practical lesson is an obligation to students of Informatics Department, ITS. But the tools to do so, which is using User Mode Linux (UML), is not even developed anymore and not compatible to the latest system operation development. One of the alternative that might be useful to replace it is container technology. There is a quiet well-known software that implements the technology, which is called docker. With the help of a virtualization concept named NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) that is managable with various platform for its components, a new alternative might be presented to create the practical lesson’s tools.
In this final assignment, there will be built a web based system integrated with docker to create virtual network functions. This system can fulfill the practical lesson’s needs, which consists of numerous lesson modules such as web service, DNS, DHCP, routing, and subnetting. This system also provides an interface to simulate network topology. According to the test result, the system’s handling of making of a simple network topology creation takes significant amount of server’s resources.
