Abstract

Saat ini diperkirakan bahwa hampir semua barang kiriman dikirim ke daerah perkotaan (urban goods movement) karena adanya pertumbuhan penjualan online (e-commerce) dan lonjakan perpindahan penduduk ke daerah perkotaan. Logistik, dimana salah satu kegiatannya yaitu pengantaran kiriman (delivering), menjadi faktor penting suksesnya urban goods movement terutama untuk Kota Surabaya sebagai ibukota e-commerce yang memiliki tingkat permintaan pengiriman barang yang tertinggi. PT Pos Indonesia Regional Surabaya sebagai pemberi layanan logistik di ibukota e-commerce Indonesia mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan aktivitas pengantaran dikarenakan spesifikasi barang e-commerce tidak sesuai dengan kriteria angkut moda eksisting sehingga pengantaran menjadi tidak efektif dan efisien. Keterhambatan ini membuat masyarakat lebih memilih menggunakan jasa logistik swasta. Padahal sejatinya PT Pos Indonesia menjadi backbone utama logistik nasional Indonesia. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan moda kendaraan baru di tengah-tengah moda eksisting agar pengangkutan serta pengantaran barang lebih efektif dan efisien. Selain itu, kekhawatiran akan adanya dampak seiring pertumbuhan urban goods movement seperti tingginya biaya logistik dan emisi CO2 yang dihasilkan kendaraan juga menjadi pertimbangan dalam perancangan ini. Dengan menganalisis operasional, kebutuhan dan karakteristik barang, jenis moda, serta sistem storage, akan diketahui kriteria kendaraan yang ideal untuk mengatasi masalah pengangkutan dan pengantaran barang. Konsep “moving toward modernity to achieve reliability and sustainable development” diimplementasikan ke desain kendaraan sebagai wujud revitalisasi, restrukturasi, dan modernisasi PT Pos Indonesia, serta visi pemerintah untuk logistik nasional sehingga kendaraan nantinya akan dirancang dengan sistem kendaraan yang lebih efisien, baik dalam segi operasional, waktu, emisi, sistem storage, serta terintegrasi dengan teknologi.

It is estimated that almost all of goods are destined for urban areas due to the growth of online sales (e-commerce), and a surge in population movements to urban areas. Logistics, where one of its activities is goods delivering, is an important factor in the success of urban goods movement, especially in Surabaya as the capital of e-commerce which has the highest level of demand for goods movement. PT Pos Indonesia Regional Surabaya, as a logistics service provider in Indonesia's e-commerce capital, has difficulty in delivering because e-commerce goods specifications are not in accordance with the existing vehicle transport criteria so that delivery becomes ineffective and inefficient. These obstacles make people prefer to use private courier services. Whereas in fact PT Pos Indonesia is the main backbone of Indonesia's national logistics. Therefore, a new type of vehicle is needed between the existing vehicles (van and motorcycle) so that the freight and delivery of goods becomes effective and efficient. In addition, the impact of urban goods movement growth such as high logistics costs and CO2 emissions produced by vehicles will also be a consideration in this design. By analyzing the operational, needs and characteristics of the goods, type of vehicle, and storage system, the ideal vehicle criteria will be known to overcome the problem of freight and delivery of goods. The concept of "moving toward modernity to achieve reliability and sustainable development" is implemented into vehicle design as embodiment for PT Pos Indonesia's revitalization, restructuration and modernization; as well as the government's vision for national logistics. Therefore, the vehicle will be designed with a more efficient system, both in terms of operational, time, emissions, storage system, and technology integration.
