Abstract

The patrol boat is 30.9 meters long, 8 meters wide and has a crew of 22 people. To support security operations in Indonesian waters. Patrol boats work 24 hours in 3 days. . Fresh water in ships can be used for consumable drink water, sanitary and cooling water needs. In ships, fresh water is one component that makes DWT large. If you have to bring fresh water from land and then put it in the fresh water tank, you will add DWT. Then it is analyzed for the addition of reverse osmosis to purify seawater so there is no need to bring fresh water. With the existence of a reverse osmosis system requires a high head in order to clear the sea water. The planning of the pump scenario to reach the head is needed to use a series of centrifugal pump configurations as well as laying planning because the engine room space on patrol boats is very limited. From the calculation of fresh water needs in 1 day is 2250 liters, and determined the reverse osmosis capacity of 345 liters / hour with a 105 m head, the general service pump is installed in a series configuration to reach the required head. A single centrifugal pump has a 54 m head and after installing the head series configuration it becomes 105 m. reverse osmosis laying just above the fresh water tank in frame 6 - 7 aims to facilitate the purification of the water so that it does not need a pipe that is too long. Then lay the general service pump at frame 16-17 near the seachest.
