Abstract

Research on standard time formulations involving time drivers variable (TDV) for Engineering to Order companies have been carried out. This research was motivated by an increase in market demand for the ETO industry, so companies must improve their planning. Standard time can be used as a tool to improve quality of planning. The STS method was followed by the standard data system (SDS) method. STS measurement results in the observation time that will be processed into a standard time. The SDS method is done by regressing the standard time with TDV, which will produce a standard time formulation. This research was conducted at PT Swadaya Graha's steel fabrication division. The study was conducted on 11 critical activities consisting of 21 critical work elements, resulting in 161 variations of STS measurements. The standard time formulation is then justified to show the error rate. The result of justification shows a fairly low error rate in each activity, with a 5.5% error value (grinding), 1.2% (marking), 0.3% (Gas Cutting), 2.8% (Shear trimming), 3, 7% (Bending Press), 2.4% (Bending Roll), 1.1% (processing), 3.8% (welding), 3.2% (NDT), 0.5% (sandblasting), and 0.9% (painting).
