Abstract
The shipping industry is an industry that cannot stop and depends on ships, the provision of
shipping services that are bound by continuity of service must operate. One of the functions
of ships for shipping companies is as a means of sea transportation to send energy needs. A
good crew and excellent vessels can provide shipping companies with good profits, and
improve shipping quality. If the ship is not operating, it will certainly cost money, one of the
factors is the damage to the engine on the ship. The importance of maintenance management
is so that the ship can quickly be ready for operational conditions. Maintenance activities are
things that must be carried out regularly so that the ship can operate. Inaccurate maintenance
can cause damage and result in reduced ship's productive time and high maintenance costs.
As a result, shipping companies will suffer losses. Shipping companies will appreciate the
equipment in their ship. PT. Pertamina (Persero) - Shipping as the company that manages
the oil and gas shipping vessels of PT. Pertamina (Persero) needs to make maintenance
policy determination on its ship equipment. An oil carrier certainly has an important
component to support operations, one of which is the Cargo Oil Pump, which functions to
be used on board tankers for discharging cargo and loading or discharging ballasts. Carrying
out Cargo Oil Pump maintenance is certainly an important thing for a tanker. Therefore, a
maintenance policy and risk value are needed from the Cargo Oil Pump ship MT. Kamojang
by PT. Pertamina (Persero) - Shipping, so that Cargo Oil Pump used can be used properly
when needed. Using Reliability-Centered Maintenance is expected to help improve maintenance management

Industri pelayaran adalah industri yang tidak bisa berhenti dan tergantung pada kapal,
penyediaan jasa pelayaran yang terikat dengan kontinuitas pelayanan harus beroperasi.
Fungsi kapal untuk perusahaan pelayaran salah satunya adalah sebagai alat transportasi laut
untuk mengirim kebutuhan energi. Awak kapal yang baik serta kapal dengan kondisi prima
dapat memberikan perusahaan pelayaran keuntungan yang baik, serta meningkatkan kualitas
pengiriman. Apabila kapal tidak beroperasi tentunya akan memakan biaya, salah satu
faktornya adalah adanya kerusakan permesinan di kapal. Kegiatan pemeliharaan adalah
suatu hal yang harus terus dilakukan secara berkala agar kapal dapat beroperasi. Ketidak
tepatan pemeliharaan dapat menyebabkan kerusakan dan mengakibatkan waktu produktif
kapal menjadi berkurang dan biaya maintenance yang tinggi. Akibatnya perusahaan
pelayaran akan mengalami kerugian. Perusahaan pelayaran akan sangat menghargai
peralatan yang ada dikapal mereka. PT. Pertamina (Persero) – Shipping sebagai perusahaan
yang mengurus kapal-kapal pengiriman minyak dan gas PT. Pertamina (Persero) perlu
melakukan penentuan kebijakan maintenance pada peralatan kapalnya. Sebuah kapal
pengangkut minyak tentunya memiliki komponen penting untuk menunjang operasional,
salah satunya adalah Cargo Oil Pump, yang berfungsi untuk bongkar muat kargo dan air
ballast. Melakukan pemeliharaan Cargo Oil Pump tentulah hal yang penting bagi suatu
kapal tanker. Diperlukan sebuah kebijakan maintenance dan nilai risiko dari Cargo Oil
Pump kapal MT. Kamojang oleh PT. Pertamina (Persero) - Shipping, agar Cargo Oil Pump
yang digunakan dapat digunakan dengan baik saat dibutuhkan. Menggunakan Reliability-
Centered Maintenance diharapkan akan membantu meningkatkan manajemen
pemeliharaan.
